Make sure ALL school in PA are then held responsible for student performance. ALL private and religious schools will then need to take the PSSA...another added expense to the taxpayer. They will also need to make sure that schools do not have the option to pick and choose the students they accept. If a student has a voucher and wants to go to a private school, but has a learning disability and needs an LS teacher or aide in the classroom, they still need to take them.

I graduated from a private school, and I'm not going to lie, it was an excellent education. Part of the reason it was so great was that our class sizes were very small and the school was able to pick and choose who they wanted as students. We worked hard because we knew that we wouldn't be asked back the following year if we didn't measure up. I feel very fortunate to have had that opportunity, but if vouchers go through and apply to public, private and catholic schools, I think the entire experience would be different for all involved (and not necessarily in a good way.)

Is it your habit to try to ruin things out of spite or is it that you just don't know any better? Private and parochial schools are enjoying measurable successes because they know what they are doing and people like me are willing to spend the extra money to send our kids there as opposed to sending them to public schools, which have alredy been ruined by people like you. I don't care if you belch gold bricks, your kids would be bounced out of a non-public setting as soon as they reveal any characteristics that would prevent their success or prevent the success of others - and rightfully so.
