I, for one, admire Ms. March's tenacity in refusing to cooperate with the police in their attempt to solicit a confession about any kind of crime.

Maybe at worst, she could be accused of unprofessional conduct.

It ain't rape if the victim is willing!

It also seems that the school board may have some fault in this matter.

Since teachers fringe benefits are not the greatest, I guess their looking for alternative ways to supplement their benefits.

Just another classic case of where this next generation is heading. Raised with no consequences or boundries and everybody being made to feel good no matter what they do will come home to roost. Expect much more of this type of behavior as the generation coming up behind this one is even more morally void. One thing I do see as a male teacher, there is a double standard. If the men did this they would be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Equal rights demand equal consequences.

Teachers Gone Wild!
Many of these teachers are under 30 yo. Teacher 23, student 18. Maybe highschool teachers should not be so close in age to the students. In a few years a 5 year age difference would not matter. Besides it is the rage in Hollywood to date/marry much younger men, Demi and Ashton, etc.
However, have these teachers lost their minds?????? They are not in Tinsel town. Yikes,

These are the people our government employs to educate our children and prpeare them for the real world. Amazing! Instead, these people are preparing our children to make poor decisions and to eliminate ethics. These people are teaching our children it is okay to do what you want. I guess I wouldn't be a good teacher because I sure wouldn't be kissing or having sex with the students, even if they were 18. It is amazing that there are more female teachers doing this than ever before. Must be the new generation of teacher or maybe the boys are bragging more. The fact that this woman would not own up to what she did just shows the character that she is made up of. And it does not amount to much. Just think if this teacher was involved with our son. How would the few of you feel that support this teacher's actions. Suppose this gets out of control and the boy or the teacher have serious issues in this relationship resulting in harm to either one or the other? The boy who is 18 is still a boy mentally and by no means an adult by anything other than his age according to law. The female teacher is 24 and in my eyes is just a girl, and by no means a woman, because she has not grown up yet. This nonsense has to stop.

go to the job fairs and you will see plenty of principals hiring the young and inexperienced rather than a veteran teacher because they are paid less and the principal can "mold them". many of the young teachers do not last in the school district due to pay or circumstances such as these.

the district should require young teachers to teach at the middle school level prior to moving on to the high school level. there is too much temptation for young teachers to be friendly with kids close to their own age.

Stop with the age b-s!

They are both old enough to join the military and go to war, so they surely are old enough to consent to an intimate relationship.

Did God die and appoint you her successsor?

Just Who the #**@ are YOU to decide when someone else is old enough?

"...included kisses in a classroom and another at the beach..."

Yeah. I am sure nothing more happened between the two. Um. I wonder where they changed into their bathing suits? Kudos to the teach. She found a good lawyer.

To all you who say nothing is really wrong with this situation, we can joke all we want about why there were no teachers doing this to us when we were in high school, but until you have children of your own and send them to school to be educated (please no response to sex ed), we, as parents feel that the school should be a safe haven close to home. Let our children be socially educated by their peers, not influenced intimately by the teachers.

Just because a person went to college.. received a degree.. is out teaching 'kids' doesnt mean they are mature. Sure. maybe they should be..but. tell me.. how many other women has this 18 year old student gone to bed with? Is the teacher the first? And yet cause she is a teacher who should know better.. ah come on..give us a break. Now if the student was under 16.. different story.. but 18???
