Stay off here SPORTS MOM! Nothing you say will ever change what they believe. PEARL does not know you, so her calling you a SNOB is funny as hell!
She is CLUELESS and only wants to stir up emotions and make threats to programs that she blames for incidents happening.
Let them blame whoever or whatever they want and let them do what they feel as they need to do.

One more thing PROUD to PEARL: I was not mad that it came out and you will never know all the emotions i felt! But let me say this... the young man that spoke up at the meeting and came forward is not all innocent.

Your previous rant makes no sense, whatsoever. I have not said that you haven't worked hard, and I have not said that your son didn't earn his awards, or that he was part of the incident. Who was that rant meant for? I think you need to go read my posts.

I was not against sports, until I saw the insanity of the parent's and their need to hide the abuse in LG sports. Including the abuse of some Cheerleaders. I believe it is criminal and those adults who are responsible should be held accountable. If anything like the hazing had happened in one of our houses, the children would be removed by cps.

Are you seriously going to continue to throw the boy under a bus? He may not be totally innocent, but he is the only one that had the nerve to speak up. Gotta give him that. I lost respect for the players and their parent's, who didn't fight for the victim's of hazing by demanding accountability. The statement I heard on the news video was that, we'll do what is best for the kid's. What they actually did is what was best for the guilty players, those who hid it and the coaches.

There is nothing that I can see that will deter it from happening again. Like I've said before, I have a home outside LG, and I choose to live elsewhere. I do have roughly 30 family member's attending LG Schools.(and to:PROUD that is why I'm here, your friend's stirred emotions are her problem, not mine.)I will fight tooth and nail to keep them safe and I hope the school can insure that it is a safe place. It isn't looking good from here.

When making the statement about my poor son needing a ride, I was merely trying to make a political point, directed at your snobby statement on how funny you think it is that parent's and grandparent's want handouts for their kid's instead of spending money to help them and pushing them to work hard like you do. Which, evidently went over your head like a 747. I'm not poor nor do I have a son in LG. Now, do you understand?

Your rant reminded me of an article I have read, you might take a minute and see what Red Flags pertain to you.

Maybe not, but he definitely has more guts than any other boy at that school who witnessed it.

I still stand by my statement of how being involved in sports is supposed to benefit the student as teaching them teamwork, self-esteem, keep their grades up, etc. I dont want my grandson to become an arrogant snob- and besides, there are 15 jerseys for the players,,15 players,,and 4 being withheld AND the 4 not being allowed to go to games to support the team and learn more about the game. Yea, I am questioning the coach's method.Coaches are teachers and they need to start acting like teachers. My grandson works hard, walks to practice every morning before school and has never been late. It sure IS the coaches fault when he is going against the schools 15 dress out policy.
I dont know what got your panties in a wad Sports Mom but apparently you are the coach and feel the need to get defensive?
Sorry to burst your bubble but we do have money. We dont need any handouts,,,just equitable practices and professional behavior from those we entrust in educating our youth.

lg alumn---you obviously know nothing about the truth of the incident! None of the people involved on either side were related to Cowans or Cunninghams or Knotts. Get over your high school grudges and grow up!

I wasnt bashing anyone- I dont believe that family is considered the LG elite. Besides, the mother of the perp is a teacher--is she from one of the families mentioned above? Will she be re-hired for next year?

I hope you people realize when you mention names on here and bash their character or etc it's not hard to trace back to who posted it and where it come from even if you change your state! LAWSUIT!! Which I am sure the above names mentioned wouldn't stoop so low.
The names mentioned are all good people and have made a name for them by working hard. Just because you are from LG doesn't mean you can't be successful.
Just because you have money or your kid is good at something doesn't make you a snob or doesn't mean you pull in the town it is just what is perceived from you posting on here! It's nothing but riduculcous!!!
