Police: Pot, Gun Found In Teacher's Car

Parents in one Texas school district are livid after police said a fourth-grade teacher was arrested when deputies found marijuana and a loaded handgun in a car on an elementary school campus.

You are just another ignorant, negative, individual who knows nothing about Texas Law or this small town. You are just making assumptions. This is a small town where we lock-up stupid people, like you and that teacher, for doing stupid stuff; like smoking weed in school parking lots and having loaded guns in their cars.

I am far from stupid and have several advanced degrees. I can tell you after 4 years of living in Texas, my daugher had always planned to be a teacher. After visiting our youngest son's school for a day, she soon decided to throw the credits away and is finishing up a nursing degree. She told me she had never seen unruly, filthy talking, and mean kids in her life. And she did some student work where we was from and loved it. My son was in "advanced" Texas school classes and I decided to test him in a home school program I have used on both daughter, one soon to be a nurse, the other a lawyer. He tested 2 grades lower in Math and English, but he was in the top 25% of TAKS testing. The school staff themselves said with the "no left behind" rule and the many Texas police state rules over them, all they can do is to try to teach with trouble makers and troubled kids in the class. I believe what they meant was try to teach TAKS. Sorry Texas you national averages don't show superiority. I love San Antonio and suburbs, but would be afraid to live anywhere else. The area has more police that give tickets so you can take the Texas mob style classes to void it for anything, while the crime rate according to US records is twice big cities like Chicago.
