"Declining enrollments, a districtwide trend for nearly a decade..."

Well lookie there, they admitted that enrollment has been declining for almost ten years. They should use that as the headline.

Yet...Measure V was suppose to pay for a third high school until. Then...as soon as Measure V was passed by the naive voters, the declining enrollment story surfaced and no third high school was needed. What to do, what to do. What do we do with all that $103MM of bond money that will cost $300MM to pay back.

Hey! Lets spend it anyway!

You can than Assembly candidate Augustine for this scam.

He already has the blonde vote which is no surprise, but I wouldn't vote for that bum if he was running for dog catcher.

As do I.

Why is it that when public school classrooms were more crowded and teachers actually had to work for a living over 8 hours per day, the kids were better educated? Why can a private school teacher, who earns less pay & benefits put out a better educated kid while so many public high school graduates are deemed not ready for college or even trade school?

The California Teachers Association must go.

So they used the money for 3rd rate upgrades. Wood Hgh School still doesn't have a real football field, but that sure made it look nice; worthless.
I'm sure those of you with kids in school can create a long list of wasted money projects.

The big shame is the huge number of remedial academic classes that Solano College must offer to get recent HS grads up to speed for college level work. In this, the public K-12 system has failed us badly.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Capricorn

You're keen to look on the bright side of things and to ignore anything unpleasant or worrying. That's fine, provided that you're ready to face up to life's difficulties again tomorrow. But it's not such good news if you persist in looking the other way whenever a problem presents itself, especially if it's connected with your work or health. It may be time to face a few facts, Capricorn.
