That is relatively unfair to the high school students, having to travel through the wind and snow and anything blocking the way while the grade school students have another day off. It isn't our fault the exams did not get graded.

I think that thy should close all buffalo public schools because i go to a school that teaches greades 5-12 and it is stupid for half the school not to go while the other half has to...i dont get it.

If the teachers would have got their heads out of their asses. They would have finish scoring the exams. And they want more money they should take a cut in pay if they can't do their job.

Why don't you go to school and learn something? Aspire to be more successful than your parents. Become a productive member of society. Be the exception in Buffalo, not the rule.
you just gotta wonder

HA HA HA HA HA Bob- how intelligent you are! I love your stellar writting skills as well- maybe you could come in and take the ELA- I would personally love to see how low your score would be. As teachers, we did our job, and continue to DO our jobs- its people like you in the community with an obvious lack of inteligence that continue to fault the educational system in Buffalo!

As for today... kids in Buffalo didn't have school prior to the storm, and with the weather as bad as it was, I am still annoyed with the fact we were forced to report anyhow- and to make matters worse, 1/2 the BPS teachers didn't even bother to show up! So I can see the frustration from some community members b/c as a teacher, I am annoyed with some of my colleagues! But....... what are the other districts doing??? They have to score the ELA as well, so how are they handling it?- especially since none of them had to report for duty today.

the grammer schools are closed Thursday because the teachers haven't finished their work: grading papers. so because they are behind in their work, the students lose a day of learning.
Not that they learn much anyway.

To set the record straight most teachers did report for duty this morning, as instructed. They graded ELA exams during the morning session, until the district made the decision to close all schools for safety purposes. Buffalo schools by far have the most ELA exams to grade in this area and are making a good effort to make certain that the work is done. Perhaps people who are uninformed should keep their comments to themselves.
