Everyone knows Pete Holt is a joke. Living off family money. Pete never supported any growth in Westfield unless it was his own or unless it benefited himself which leads us to wonder why he supports the merger because the merger is not going to do anything for the average taxpayer or resident.

As for Cockram's letter, it is a joke also. Guy always thinks he is the smartest person in the room. Cockram doesn't have a clue of the differences between Westfield and Brocton. He thinks Westfield and Brocton are on par, Really? Maybe if he had lived here a little longer and done his homework he would know. All you have to do is drive around Brocton and drive around Westfield to know the two communities are nothing alike. Check the home values of homes in the Village of Brocton, check the downtown area, check out the businesses. Hey Cockram, if you like Brocton so much why didn't you pick the town to live in???? More importantly Mr. Cockram, TRY AND GET A JOB IN BROCTON?

Sorry but selling out the school, the kids that walk, the people who have invested in Westfield, the school workers and everyone else for $30 a year in tax savings is not worth it.

Voters you need to ask why did we fight to save our hospital and now are willing to throw our school and everything involved with it under the bus. For what $30 a year? Vote NO!

LOVE that Steve Cockram has been TELLING people to just vote yes! Wow!! Heard that one this weekend and thought it a bit overboard.... since he was telling it to young kids/new grads who do not pay taxes. AND... there is NO mention in these articles that some Westfield taxpayers will NOT enjoy a $30/thousand tax break but will instead have a day one tax increase under the plan; Herlien does not want that one out!!!!

You are a fool. No one is saying what you claim. But instead of that lets look at the bigger picture.

WE now spend around $22,000 per student, per year on Westfield education. ISN'T that enough for you?

Do we really as you claim need to spend more?

The relevance of this related to merging school districts is what?
There are some very nice homes and people in Brocton. You sound like a undereducated kid talking about my town is better than your town. How childish this is, for such a serious issue.

I reread what I wrote and I never stated we need to spend more.(now that you mention it, is anything getting any cheaper??)

Sir (or Ma'am) I am not the fool. Thank you very much.

22,000 dollars a year, but some people think we need to have a better educational system. Why don't you fix the one we have?

We will have a better educational system by fixing the one we have.

If you want some REAL INFORMATION go to the Westfield topix headline "Brocton, Westfield merger group holds first meeting"

Read the posting by poster "Four Star Margate" posted 12 hours ago. Those are the real facts.

Facts that put Cockram and the other few pro-merger folks to shame.

One Fact of many in that posting: this year Brocton was in last place in Chautauqua County for its Grad rating. Good showing!

Yes lets have the high school in Brocton where its last in the county for high school senior grad ratings. WOW is all I can say.

Go get em Stevie!
