Editorial | New dropout age should be approved
The new high school dropout bill, known as SB 97 or the "Graduate Kentucky" bill, allows school districts to phase in an increase of the dropout age from 16 to 18. The bill became law last Tuesday.

MAYBE a few kids will decide to take school more seriously if they know they can't quit at 16. The law could make it more difficult on teachers and school administators....districts may have to expand Alternative Schools. It's a shame that it's come to this!!
