The truth will come out and this teacher will be allowed to teach again. But now her reputation is ruined over these rumors. I pray that this gets resolved quickly so that she can get back to teaching our students without being judged by what mistruths have been told!

Trulyamazed, how can you be sure that the teacher is innocent and these are "mistruths"? I work in the school district, I know the student, and I know how things go for the school. I am judging no one, I do not know what happened, but no matter what, I'm not going to be so quick to let the teacher loose.

Dayton is bad and it's a shame because it could be such a super nice town. But until the citizens are ready to get rid of all the corrupt people in that town there will never be any improvement. When you have a corrupt mayor, city administrator, chief of police, police sgt and supervisors what do you expect from the rest of the town. Until the citizens are educated and involved in their own town it will only get worse and this story will only be another in a long list to come. Although it's not like false arrest are uncommon in Dayton.

Dayton needs to clean up the school system first

Cameron, I agree but then again when the chief doesn't want a DARE officer in the school and cancels that program and then has a qualified SRO to be there in the school full time but didn't want to use any of the department budget and really didn't care about the schools and thinks that the school programs are a waste of time and money where do you suggest the improvement starts. Go back and look at the success of the DARE program and the question the kids about having an officer there for them. But it wasn't worth it to Dayton's chief. But then he doesn't even live in KY. So I'm sure he isn't worried about it. If the parents don't get envolved and the city turns it back then how do you purpose that the school system gets cleaned up. Are the citizens waiting on Kenny to take care of any of this? It has always appeared to me that Kenny Rankle and Jim Werner don't want to be bothered with the schools or the children. Maybe the citizens of Dayton need to start to get involved and make a stand. If not then don't be shocked that this is the school system that the have or the city they live in is listed as a bad place to visit or live.

It should start with the parents. How many kids under 18 have babies and why are the kids and babys on the avenue all night long. where are the parents home smoking pot or in the corner bar. Where is the respect for the teachers and adults respect starts at home. sometimes its easy to but the blame on every one else. Maybe the police chief did not have the budget for a dare officer or maybe the dare officer was not getting the respect from the kids. But maybe if the dare officer was at the school the teacher would of not been involved with the kids. where are the parents of the kid involved he should of new better than to be with this woman. The citizens of dayton voted the people in they can get them out.
