Reporters should know that the District office for Holmes County is Bonifay- not Chipley.

Big mistake for the HC school board. None of them will be getting my vote next time. This is such a horrible thing to happen to Bethlehem School. He was the best pricipal we've had in many years. It just proves that Dixon bought his election. I'll bet he just did this to make room for one of his friends. The school board can't give a reason for letting Zeb Brown go.

Obviously you don't have kids that go to Bethlehem. You are probably one of Dixon's cronies.

School Board has no say in where a superintendent places an administrator. Superintendent recommends and the school board either has to show something that person has done wrong or they are placed where the superintendent wants them. Superintendents need to be appointed not elected...they have too much power and play too much politics.

First of all, a God complex isn't a bad thing to have. Second, I have perosnally spoken to many teacher that said he was much better and was a principal that was putting things together and cared about the class work, not just the gym work. You obviously just don't like the man. Why would you remove a principal in the middle of the year unless you had a political reason for doing so? And to just pu the man in the district office? They have enough there as it is.

Whooaaa there. Debbie Kolmetz didn't vote to move him. She voted no. So don't lump them all together. he had his faults. But he was doing better seemed to be listening more to others. This poor school has had nothing but but principals leaving for the past 10 years. Poor students suffer. Whoever they put here next will leave too.

Jerry Dixon never stood up for anything that was right and I bet his son doesn't fall far from the tree. Zeb didn't give up on my child when others would have so I am not giving up on him. He is the best principal Bethlehem has had in many years. They say this is a promotion but it's a temp place to put him before he is out of a job. Jerry wants back in but her can't find the door! Support Zeb Jan. 15 at the school board meeting.......bring a friend. 6pm Penn. Ave.

Madam, I respectfully disagree with you. My child goes to school with your child and there was a reason he sent her home. Personally, I think he was a marvelous Principal. He treated the students as a grandparent would but as parental figure sometimes punishments are required to better the child's behavior. He was no respector of persons and treated all the same, no matter the family status or name. We need someone like that. I did like Mr. Brown, had no problem whatsoever with him. He was energetic and tried innovative things when possible. I dont understand why they moved him and do not like it. I have voiced this to the board members and the superintent but I wont agree with your take on Jerry Dixon. I do not know Eddie, but am learning. Truly the board has no say in this but it is all on the Superintent. He will not likely bring Zeb brown back to Bethlehem but we need to follow closely to make sure he has a job in Holmes County as long as he wants it and is productive. Hes a young man and we need young admins at the county office. The older crew is retiring with great haste.

i go to bethlehem and i think if the new supertendent really cared about students he wouldnt have taken away the best prinicipal we have had in at least 5 years. I can trust Mr, Brown and feel comfrotable to go see him. I have seen myself how he cares and is trying to make us a better school one that has pride again.

I agree with many. Why would you remove a principal in the middle of the year when things are going fine. Be ready for someone to come in that is in the circle. There is a plan and this is part of the plan in putting someone in that was promised a job. hchs is already in for a long 2nd half of the year. They have a principal now with no experience in teaching much less administration.

I totally agree with you. It looks like Dixon is going to take up backwards with all the jobs he promised to people who don't have half the credentials that Zeb did. If Dixon was placing principals with experience it would be different. Why should our kids suffer because Dixon owes people jobs for electing him.

I don't know about all that, dont know Zeb Brown from anyone but I do know Mickey Hudson, he's been a Principal with FLVS over multiple counties for quite a few years. The responsibility level is problably lower at a 9-12 High School than that. I think he'll do fine.

What is nuts about my post? Its public record, check his credentials. He was Principal over FLVS over multiple counties. Different than a brick and morter institution but accountable to plenty.

Why is "Mickey Hudson's" name being mentioned??? Is this the name being "rumored" to replace Brown? I for one am a very big fan of Jerry Dixon... he was wonderful!.....he was a very caring man and the students loved him. As a parent, I found him to be caring, consoling, understanding, compassionate, encouraging, driven, motivating, supportive, responsible, always done what he said he was going to do, and could also be stern when needed. The students loved and respected him greatly. I will always have the up most respect for Mr. Jerry Dixon.
