Prom prep on a budget
The cost of the prom certainly adds up, but with tough economic times, even high school students are looking for ways to cut costs.

Some of these kids put more time into planning for and getting ready for the prom than I did for my wedding. Glad to hear that some are putting into perspective. Cheers to parents who make their kids understand the reality of costs.

kids now are so spoiled, I didint go to my prom, no money for a dress, etc.

Another nice shop is Red Door Consignment in Branford, across from Tommy Sullivans.

I am SOOOOOOO glad I have "been there, done that..." and NO friggin more..........
It is rediculous now the prices of this school stuff, not to mention the "almost mandatory" "trips" some of the schools do.....a friend of mine a month ago forked over $1200.00 for some school "trip" and they have another kid going through the same thing NEXT year....... |
