According to this, the school board actually voted to hire him back to work. Say what?????

Exactly my thought...Why would you want this man working anywhere in this district? Office or not, he should not even be allowed on school property. I am glad I don't live in the district.

This is your BOE at its finest. You voted 'em in, you get to reap the rewards.

They forced him back to work to pressure him to resign. As you can see, they were successful with their strategy and saved tax payers $1,000s. I wished people would seek out facts instead of talking out their ass.

If they could "force" him to resign, why couldn't they "force" Mr. Crist to resign?

I'm actually questioning the BOE's ability to "force" anything. I'm pretty sure the teacher's union would resist any effort to force Mr. Riethmiller to resign: that's partly why the union exists.

If the BOE could force this resignation, it makes the teacher's union look pretty powerless. The BOE would be free to force /anyone/ to resign.

The vote to bring him back, in any capacity, given the evidence against, him still makes the BOE look incompetent. How does it foster a "safe, conducive learning environment" to have child molesters working in the building?

The teacher's union in that school district is COMPLETELY powerless! No ifs and or buts about it. They do not stick up for their teachers.

From what I gathered from the article this teacher was on "PAId" leave,so bringing him back to work in the district office only was a good move as he would be forced to be around people that knew what he is "accused" of.

All these teachers should be psychoanalysed before they teach our children.
