i hope the district struck "Golde" with this guy. Be interesting to see his background - both professional and personal.

Doesn't really matter who they pick, Cobert and Anderson will still run the district. The guy doesn't stand a chance with half the board micromanaging and the other half sticking their head in the sand. The honeymoon period will last a couple of months and then he will find out who these idiots really are. The good news is that there will be elections in the spring and hopefully, hopefully, hopefully, decent candidates will come forward and the district can start replacing the current board.

Don't forget that the board has to elect new officers in December. Palermo is acting as if he is ready to step in, but Wheaton is the one they should elect. Golde has his own experience with federal lawsuits. I hope he can clearly see Anderson and Cobert for what they are and does not allow them to run him as is their typical pattern.

I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, Frank Bova is going to hang around collecting his stand-in salary for another two-three months for doing, essentually, nothing. MA Anderson has been, is and will continue to be the REAL power in the District. As long as the majority of the Board supports her or is afraid to stand up to Mr. Cobert, that's just the way it will be. I wish Mr. Golde all the luck in the world...he's going to need it.

Amen, Joe...I couldn't agree more. as long as the current Board majority of Cobert, Palermo, Kramer, Wilga and Rastetter blindly support the egomaniac Cobert and machivellian Mrs. Anderson (the REAL power in the District), it doesn't matter who the Super is. Just ask Frank Bova...he knows who's running the District and it ain't him. He only collects the checks.
I wish Mr. Golde well and all the luck in the world...he's going to need it.

I really hope that it isn't Palermo. He doesn't get it. Ever watch him on TV? He looks like a deer in headlights. You can tell by the questions that he doesn't ask that he is clueless on so many issues. Really doesn't "get" it at all. He also has asked for favors and is way too tied to the union. He lives next door to Union President, Cacchione and when Cobert isn't telling him what to do Cacchione is. He does not consider other points of view and also has an autocratic mentality. They need someone who will let the superintendent lead without undue interference. I don't think that Wheaton can do that either. I have attended PTA meetings with her and she constantly interrupts the principal giving her two cents on every issue. One time I wanted to say, let him conduct his meeting would ya? It is really annoying. Really changed my mind about her. The only board member who would lead is Tom Albert. He has the experience, intelligence, time and temperament. He should do it.

Wanted:

Intelligent, fiscally responsible, educated, hard working, individuals to run for the Millcreek School Board to replace self serving, egomaniacs.

Although I have to admit, I would miss watching the current board meetings on TV. Great entertainment watching them in action.

Other than Cobert, whose seats will be up next year?

Rest assured, those of you who think Anderson and Cobert are running the district; the truth is that Anderson is running AROUND in the district, trying to drum up support and call in favors. Mr. Golde is coming in with his eyes open, and he will see the political mess that the two of them have created in the district. They will be gone, and the district will move on. It's up to the public to demonstrate good decisionmaking when board elections come up in the spring. Mr. Albert, please consider throwing your hat in for president. Your calm and dignified demeanor is very much needed.

Rastatter, Cobert, Scutella, and Albert must be the ones because Anderson worked for Wilga, Kramer, and Palermo at the polls last year so it can't be them. Wheaton hasn't been around that long and am not sure about that other guy (forgot his name).

Wilga knew about the gift cards. He was part of Salmon's cabinet meetings when gift cards were readily handed out by Anderson. I can't say whether or not he actually received any, but he knew what was going on and Anderson ran his campaign for school board. He owes her. I hope that he isn't elected president. That would be disaster.

Heard Verile Salmon is going to run for school board. How could he possibly run for school board. He obviously knew about the gift cards too, especially since they were distributed often during his cabinet meetings.

Wilga ran for the board to get rid of Maynard. He told lots and lots of people that. He owes Anderson for running his campaign and helping to get him elected. That is why he is always going after Mancini.

Nice group of school board members we have to deal with. The idiot Cobert, who everyone follows, Kramer voting for policy changes that benefit him and friends, Rastetter who absolutely no idea what's going on and is only there to support the board majority and now Wilga.

What a bunch of self-promoting losers.

I can't believe that you would actually say that someone is going AFTER Mancini, like she's under attack or something. LOL With all she's done to kids and people in the district I mean it's really unbelievable that she could be that incompetant. I mean hoenestly anyone ANYONE could do better then she has. She's spread rumors about administrator's, sent the district on one item from her personal agenda after another, tortured a student in the district and drove them out of school because of her personal agenda, and has a great percentage of the parents involved with her giving negative feedback. Sounds like she's a real target right???

The negative feedback comes from Anderson who tries to get people to work against Mancini. She even tried to get people to sign libelous complaints against Mancini. She even filled out the complaint for them and told them to sign and she would take care of the rest and she does this during work time. This is well documented. Let's talk about devious. The truth will come out and there will be no kidding about that.

I have 4 children in Millcreek schools, one of which is a special needs child. The way the board handles itself is embarrassing. If any of our kids acted the way the board & administrators do, they would be expelled.
I have dealt directly with Ms. Mancini on issues affecting my special needs child, and she is very professional & genuinely concerned about what is best for my child. Isn't that what they all should be concerned with? If the District loses Ms. Mancini it will be a tremendous blow to all of the special needs kids in Millcreek. If we can't take care of the kids who need us the most, how can we take care of any of them?
I also dealt with Ms. Anderson when she was in charge of the special needs kids. Ms. Anderson had no concern about what was best for the kids, only what was best for the District. Since that time, all of the financial improprieties have come out & now I understand why Anderson acted the way she did, it was about $$$ and she wanted to spend it in ways that differed with what was best for the kids. Why is it so hard for these people to do the right thing for the right reasons?
