Madison teacher faces porn accusation

The Madison County school district has barred a teacher from all school campuses after his arrest on a charge of showing pornographic cell phone video to a student, school officials said Monday.

I know, innocent until proven guilty. But if this turns out to be true, all I can say is, "What was this teacher thinking?" How could any educated person come up with the idea that showing a porn flick to a minor would be something to do? I hope they check into how he's behaved at the other schools where he has previously worked, especially considering the fact that he worked in special education.

Yea innocent till proven guilty this is true. This is the second coach in Madison with "issues" Towards the end of the year one at the middle school was brought up on allegations of misconduct. This is giving Madison a bad rep. Sex Drugs and Rock and roll. May be its time for new leadership in the school system. Leadership that will return phone calls when parents want to discuss there Childs welfare. Leadership that doesn't treat parents like aren’t worthy to complain about an issue. I know several parents who have complained about a bus driver and his behavior with students and he was still allowed to drive for over a year until the driver made the wrong comment to the child of a person with influence. Every one needs to contact there state legislatures to have this offence changed to a felony not just a misdemeanor. This might protect our kids in the future.

If one of my kids teachers singled out one of them to watch porn on anything, there would be hell to pay and quickly.

There are no good schools, period, in Madison County, except, maybe for the branch of AB Tech which is there.
I am sort of with whomever said that maybe this 'porn' was not so much 'porn' as it was an MTV type video, and maybe little 'Jane' took it in a light other than what was intended. And then again, maybe it was "Long Dong Silver",this guy sort of looks like Claence Thomas, who knows.
I say, take him out back and shoot him, then sort it out later. Much more efficient.

Mrs. Gerber, i get the jist of what you said. It sounds as if you and he might get along well together. i mean no harm now so please do not take offense. for two consenting adults to watch what some would call porn together i do not think society should intrude upon. i think that what the issue was was the age of the young girl involved. your query of why is indeed a good question. there are some men i have heard who enjoy younger girls. maybe that is his prefence as far as companionship with the opposite sex. we do not know. if indeed as Cindy says the coach at the middle school, another incident that was described involving a different person, was falsely charged, that should be forgotten. also the definition of porn comes into the picture. the main thing, i believe, is the inappropriateness of the ages between the 2 persons involved.

I think cindy was refering to the incident at the middle school last year. They made no case on it but I saw some pretty inaproprate images taken by several students with cell phone cameras that when turned in to school staff seemed to disapear. This may be why the mother went to Law enforcemt instead of the school system.

I grew up in the school system of Madison County and I turned out pretty well. My sister is a teacher in the Madison Co. school system, so she turned out pretty well. Putting down the school system and saying there are no good schools in Madison Co. is saying there are no good teachers also and that is not true. It takes alot to be a teacher and I tip my hat to teachers everywhere. Is Madison Co. a rich county? No. But they are rich in good teachers. Don't penalize the whole school system over 1 teacher.

Cindy was talking about an incident at Madison Middle School. This guy is a phys ed teacher and coach at Madison High School. The article said he called her into the coaches office to show her the video. My guess is that it was the office at the high school, not middle school. So Cindy may be correct about the girl at the Middle School.

Hey Thomas Wolfe - how can you justify blaming the school sytem from whence he came? I dont recall any problems in Fairview...unless you were up to something out 74. Im gonna guess that Knox county high schools are pristine and clean too right?
