One day, Brian made a mistake at work, not a big mistake but a mistake. An onlooking colleague turned to another colleague and remarked that Brian was a "typical dumb-ass American." Another colleague asked him, "Is that the way you do it where you come from?" This was one of many incidents that made Brian wonder what he had let himself in for by ...

There is no insistence Michael.

I expect that, to you, it looks as if someone is just walking by as you lay on a sidewalk bleeding and I am profoundly sorry if it feels that way.

I am not a young man. But in a way, it is as if I am a first year dental student and you need a willing, top rated surgeon. I want to take you to a concert at old Massey Hall then go and eat some poppyseed cake and swig coffee down near High Park. What does a first year dental student know about severe lacerations and punctured lungs. As a first year dentist I am still encouraging you to eat poppyseeds which will get stuck between your teeth and in your gums!

I can wish the wish the best for you bud and letting go of things is sometimes not possible when it has become a mission. Whatever direction you walk in will take you somewhere.

That's all I have got, take care.

Sadly, two people here insist that I should abandon my pursuit of justice and my pursuit of criminals in Canadian academia. In Canada, there is no accessible press. CBC runs on your money and their "disclosures" are theatrical performance - the most important facts are not revealed to the public. The press is run by monopolies; it is FORBIDDEN to publish the names of crooks in the universities who steal public money, falsify research results or falsify authorship of scientific discoveries. Canada is a unique country that does not have whistleblower protection laws. And here, there are people who tell me, probably the only person in this country who is fighting these criminals in academia for two decades, to abandon my fight! I think, if you have minimally decent intentions, you should help me to propagate the awareness of the situation, let everyone, especially those who will go to universities, know about the crimes committed there and about your government supporting criminals. The documents on my web site are telling a horrific story. Anyone in this situation is advised to keep quiet, this is a routine advice in academia. They tell you that you will be OK if you just keep quiet. Then, the criminals take a full control and decimate the complainer. I spend years before I understood how this system works. The Canadian system of higher education and scientific research must go down the drain. Again,- read the documents here: the web site is "University of Toronto Fraud" at http://www.universitytorontofraud.com and help to restore lawful order in this country.

Walt, whichever way you say it, you are trying your best to discredit me: I don't move on, don't eat poppy seeds, etc. But, you are very serious and insistent about making public to hate me: you are saying that I am on a mission, and that means I am doing something that is not actually necessary for me, I have an agenda, I am not really a victim of crime, etc. I DO NOT HAVE A SLIGHTEST DOUBT THAT YOU ARE ON A MISSION.

I had met posters on forums who were clearly "fixers", one followed my every posting for months and went even to the University of Cambridge, UK, of course, a paid agent working for University of Toronto. You can see it here: http://www.gradunion.cam.ac.uk/forum/viewtopi...
He posted as guest because he didn't want to register his real name, and obviously posted under different names. He was telling people a complete rubbish, lies. And he looked pretty ridiculous because his mission was obvious. Internet is full with these "fixars" who defend establishment. I will tell you this: when someone makes personal attacks (in fact, making the accused criminals to look innocent by attacking a whistleblower) that person must give his/her true name, occupation and address. Writing anonymous letters was always a job of the paid agents provocateurs. Decent people do not believe them, period.

You started by saying that I am "pounding out revisions" of my story "for various ears" You did hope that I will just not go to continue this thread, but I did. I asked you to give an example of my "revisions" that I make for "different ears". You failed to give any. I think your mission has failed.

Very apparent Walt, so don't let this bother you.
I'm not PhD; as you like wise pointed out, but I do know if the person doing their PhD is working on research that a Prof has gone out and acquired funds to do.
So it would be the Prof Research, with the undergrads' doing the grunt work.

I'm not sure why someone would be classified as a lapsed student?

Sometimes in life you just tread where you should have zig zagged. I didn't and there really is nothing that I can do to restore things so I am just moving on.

Things are fine from my end , thank you.

I know how hard it is to spend your entire life and energy in school, to make something of yourself only to see it blow up in your face. For any student, this is not easy to take. IT IS SIMPLY UNJUST. I understand your need to search for justice. It is sad that the very institution that demands the utmost academic honesty and integrity from its students, turns it back and commits fraud. No, it is not easy to swallow. Make sure you find supporters in your cause, because there are many out there and many students may have the same experience as you. But there comes a time, when we need to accept what is lost and move on as well. I wish you all the best in your future, as you seem very bright and there is a future for you. Don't let your capacity go to waste.

OK TRUTH HURTS - so you say:"Canadian culture and traditions and hang out with "regular" Canadians after work or on weekends". Hmmmm... I can't imagine such a waste of time as hanging out with boring to death Canadians. To do what? Smoke pot, drink beer or have a BBQ or watch porn? This is what constitutes Canadian "culture and tradition". Never in my life here (and I lived in every province of this country) I met a Canadian that was not lazy and not looking for an easy way. You have nothing to say that is interesting, you have no culture in a proper sense of the world. Look to other countires - Europe, Asia, Africa. You destroyed the natives and pushed them on the verge of extinction, what are you proud of? This is shameful. You put Japanese immigrants in concentration camps during the war, only after bringing them to this country to do the work your lazy butts will never handle. Who built your famous trans Canada railway? Huh? Care to learn?
Who put Ukrainian immigrants in camps? You bunch of Canadian analphabets and xenophobes. You don't even know your history, igonrants.

I'm American and just got through living 2 year in Canada for university. I learned French fluently and resided in Montreal for a year and Toronto in another. I did my best to be polite and respectful but nonetheless I faced classic bigotry on an almost daily basis in Canada. Oftentimes, it was before I had even introduced myself and people didn't know I was American yet. I was constantly associated with all kinds of ridiculous things from different people: I'm racist, I hate arabs, I hate poor people, I want to conquer Canada, I'm supposed to be loud, arrogant, boorish, and conceited. It's really crazy because some of the things some of the kids and even professors would say about Americans (not politics, but people) would be considered bigotry where I'm from. If I replaced the nationality "American" with Indian, Brazilian, or Mexican, the comments would have caused uproar. I'm black and I even think that it seemed like there are certain ethnicities and races that are "untouchable" or given a "privileged" social status and whites certainly aren't it. I know what racism feels like, and this kind of bigotry is the exact same thing with a different name. My image of a tolerant Canada was replaced by an image of Canada where certain people are more tolerated than others. Montreal is a very cool city but living there it felt like there was constant rivalry between English and French speakers (with the French usually being blamed for something). I'ts really unfortunate because I had such a positive view of Canada and when I mention this to many Canadian friends their first instinct is to compare x to the US and tell me why Canada is morally superior. While I still have a positive image of Canada and think it's a great country, my optimism about Canada has been been permanently dampened. I don't mean to bash or talk down about Canada, I just hope that this comment can shed light to a very real phenomenon.

I'm sorry you had a negative experience while studying here. Here's my opinon on some of the things you mentioned. In regards to the French vs English issue, I have seen that a lot of it comes from the referendum when Quebec wanted to separate from the rest of Canada. I have had both positive and negative experiences in Quebec as someone who speaks English. I had many people welcome me and tell me to enjoy my visit and on the flip side I had some totally change their attitude as soon as they knew I was English- it depends on the person. Personally I had more positive experiences in Montreal than in Quebec City. As for the negative comments towards Americans I know that most Americans are actually nice people that enjoy visiting here, but the few that say negative things about Canada do so in extreme ways, at least it was that way in my experience. I once had an American tell me that Canada has never done anything for the world, nor ever will- he even went so far as to insult what our veterans did for us and the world in WWII. That is something that hits home hard when you directly insult our veterans- it is very hard to forgive and forget something like that.

First of all, the English and French thing has always existed here. It's a sad reality that those in Quebec just can't accept it they lost on the Plains Of Abraham to the English long ago in history and that Her Majesty was boss and not "Pierre Lepeau". Secondly, such things as official policies rammed down our throats like multi-culuralism and bilingualism are actually a nuiscance and a thorn in the side of Canada. There may not be riots in the streets in protest so to spak, but many Canadians privately and indivudually are sick of it.

Thirdly, the anti-American crap you experienced. What can you expect from pre-dominantly liberal cities like Montreal and Toronto? Keep in mind these liberal urban bull sh*t places do not speak for all Canadians.

Please stop patronizing, immigrants are not your long lost children from some third world. You talk about rules under "your" house, answer me: do your children always follow the rules under your house? When people are forced, they do what they need to survive. Personally I am not hurt by the lack of finance in my life, what hurts the most is hearing ignorant snub comments from people who have no idea where I am coming from

Wow, nice bit of partisan drivel there. Stephen Harper is the FIRST PM to actually crack down on immigration re: illegals and phoney "refugees".
And being a Conservative, I don't think he'll find immigration costing Canadians over $2 billion/yr and climbing to be very endearing, but thanks to Trudeau, no Prime Minister will ever be able to undo the mess Trudeau created.

As for the Chinese, well kow towing to America seems to be a specialty when it comes to Canadian PMs, it's only the ass being kissed that's different. Besides, with America's financial problems and over $1 Billion in trade already crossing the border every day, where else is Canada going to export its resources, Europe? LOL.
I don't like it any better than you do but the fact is when it comes to expanding our exports, it's China or no one right now.
