Human eggs may soon be grown from the tissue that surrounds a baby while it is still in the womb.Scientists in Israel have begun growing immature eggs from the the amniotic sac discarded at birth.And they are confident of being able to develope the process further until they are capable of fertilisation.Professor Eliezer Shalev,of the Haifa Institute ot Technology said"We have moved closer to growing eggs outside of the human body will become a reality"Dr Geeta Nargund,of St Georges Hospital London,said"This opens up enormous possibilities for childless couples in the future,where the process of egg retrieval from doners is not ideal".Source-Science Today magazine.
