In elementary school, a few times the gym teacher made us shower. It was very awkward. We all were just lined up against the shower wall naked with our hands covering between our legs.
Athletes like football players often did it after practice. I was on basketball and track and we never did that shit. I think football is the only sport I heard of guys showering together after practice or games.

Had them in junior high and hS. Never used them in junior high used them after morning gym classes or morning wrestling practices. Lived so close school I never used them if gym was late or afternoon wrestling practice.

I can see why some would avoid it though. It is very dehumanizing trying to cleanse yourself in such a rapey prisonesque environment. Why not individual showers or at least showers that were grouped off instead of being in the open.
