Let me make sure I understand this.. Other airlines went BK a decade ago or so. AA stuck it out until the Horton Coup D'etat.(What else do you call in when a new manager takes your job, you are gone and the thing you tried to avoid the most happens Mr. Arpey) Now AA redoing leases etc to thin also is cutting labor cost, a thing it sited as a problem emerges a lean mean profit machine. Follow me here.. DL and UA etc have lost thier advantage, low cost (and paying) airlines are making dents in your route structure. Now DL and UA attempt to cut cost to regain the advantage. Also having gone BK all that is left is workers, you've already bare boned facilities etc. You attack non union workers because you can. The union workers can be drug out for a decade, no raises no higher costs. In a wet dream they strke and you Reagan/PATCO or NW them (Fire and replace or lock out forever and replace). Now AA has lost it's advantage and does the same. DL and UA once again.... AA..... It's a spiral just like water going down a toilet. Does that about explain how things will go?

AMR hiring flight attendants off the street rather than sourcing from AMR internally?

If I were a CREDITOR of AMR I think I would have something to say about that. This just does NOT make sense for a company in bankruptcy.

Is the creditors committee working on behalf of AMR and the whims of the AMR Execs by not intervening on this.

Ha, Ha, Ha...if you want more money, join management!

Then you too can enjoy high wages, with cash bonusus for those BMW's, Bayliner boats.
And private university's for the kids.

Can you say Yale, Princeton, and Harvard!

That is not very Christian of you... but obviously communion and community is not part of many of this eras agenda.
