Pay cuts coming; 401(k) match, vacation time on chopping block for Pinnacle Airlines workers

Pinnacle CEO John Spanjers said in a letter filed with the SEC the airline's goal in emerging from bankruptcy is to find a permanent fix to factors that have encumbered Pinnacle for years.

Gee, you could say the same thing about UAL pilots. Their wages were cut by 40%, thousands were laid off, work rules were suspended and most of their pensions were lost. Yet, AWUP is still there five years later! So much for your principles. Why don't you practice what you preach? Mc Donald's is hiring!

The picnic table because your house is gone. WAKE UP..... You get paid less, you can't afford expensive. Stores cut prices to meet your needs. How do stores profit? Cheaper venders, lower wages for employees, more benefit costs passed on to employees, benefits cut. Now because of this your nieghbor has trouble too. The need for profit, and greed up top has almost finished off the middle class. When thier cash cow dries up it will get ugly. Another round of bail outs to business, from where. Our trillions upon trillions broke governmemt. Parents thruout generation have always tried to provide for thier kids, so they could have a better life. At this rate, my grandkids are screwed, and there is nothing anyone can do about it until there crooks in the tall towers are held responsible for thier poor chices

I've always said airline pilots are the only group of college educated idiots, who continue to go to work with crappy wages, and no benefits, a union that is ineffective, and yet they continue to whine, instead of quitting enmass and leaving the industry, bringing the US transportation industry and this economy to its knees.

I guess they just want to go to work wearing their white shirts and pretty little epaulets.

Then we can go back to a regulated industry.

All hope is NOT lost, young man! Vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in 2012! Abandon the CLOSET Muslim BHO and his ilk in 2012 and vote for a real American! Romeny will make more American Jobs cut taxes and send the illegals back to the dark corners of the earth from which they came! AA's problems are a direct result of the Obama"nation" himself. Surely you jest...... read this.That’s likely because Bain’s tactics -- both during and after Romney’s tenure at the firm -- have been the target of criticism since the Republican started running for president. Such critics allege Bain has put its own profits ahead of the good of the companies it tried to turnaround in the past. Bain Consultings main recommendation is to outsource. Outsource means cut American jobs, or cut good paying jobs and replace them with minimum wage employees. If he runs the country like a company this cannot improve
