Knoxville, including pension loss and $10 weekly concession along with the health insurance plan figured our personal income loss to be closer to 30%. Several men and women, months from retirement, have lost everything. Its pitiful.

As for your statement about teamsters, their totals will be released late Friday afternoon or evening, they are getting hit worse than the bakers and not many will vote for it.
Just make sure your not voting in hopes that the Company is bluffing on closing the doors.

I only say hell no and I hope you all realize any more pay cuts and you'll be working for less than minimum wage. with no retirement plan.good luck to all of you hard workers in the future.

I agree completely. All the info that I post on here, I research and find on my own. I only check BCTGM website to see if they have caught up with what I have already figured out.

Teamsters vote 46% no... 54% yes. Imagine 46% of employees to stupid to think no job is better then 8% less money. No wonder the company can't succeed with 46% of their workforce not understanding 0 + 0 = 0.

Yea well wasn't happy at the out come either, nor were any of my drivers, cant believe anyone would vote for it and even sadder is the fact that 3100 of our brothers and sisters didn't think it was important enough to vote on.
Just hope the judge refuses to toss bakers contracts or that if he does that they do indeed strike.

As someone who buys and sells from a direct competitor, I wish you all luck going forward. From everything I heard/read/researched, it sounds like there are problems on all levels of this operation. From the attitudes at the bottom (many justified by being sick of the never ending cuts), to the fat cats raking in bonuses at the top...

all I can say is I'm glad I'm not a part of this show.

Again, good luck!

'ill ibc, agree with you ,hope when the south votes they stick together better than the north.why pay union dues if you aren't gonna let your voice be heard?those 3100 that didn't care to vote shame on you.you will continue to bust your butts for less money and benifts serves you right.they are probably the ones who don't work just ride the clock.best of luck to hostess employees who want go down with out being heard, and fighting all the way.

if a we just go back and get the money the last two ceo's stole before leaving the company and upper level management either gets a make over or takes a 25% pay cut we as workers wouldn't have to take any concessions hell we might even show a profit... why is it no news paper ever give gives are side of the story all they would have to do is stop in a store, we would be glad to share our story with the american people.

Crazy about being a yankee, lol, I have lived in Keywest Fl, Meridian Ms, Cali,Nev, just ended up in IL, even lived in germany for several yrs.
The wish to sale Merita because it is a money maker, how do they expect to make up the loss of income that Merita generates? Wonder does not sale in most places, they killed sales in Wyoming and Mt, by trying to force wonder out there instead of the regional brands. Without a change in management and culture in this company it will be the same ole thing and in a couple years we will be right back here, They think they can cut their way to profitability it won't happen.
We can not make a living on the concessions they are demanding of us. Let's close the doors and be done with it.
