All from a gambling problem.

Now if they arrest the idiots at peashake houses and boot ondwey cawson out of office, Indy might actually start evolving into a city.

If you look at the background of Mark Leonard, you can see that the casino trips were part of his scam on many women. He was running up debt on Moncy's credit cards and would have continued as long as she and her credit card company would allow it. Then he would have split like he had so many times before.
The lure of 300 grand was too great for Leonard to ignore. He claims his split was going to be 100 grand, but rest assured, he had his sights on most of that money. It's called greed.
The Leonard's deserve life without parole. No question.
Moncy is a different story. She was led into this but that excuse only holds so much water.
If she becomes the State's star witness against the others and pleads guilty as charged, I'd vote for a 20 year sentence.
My reasoning is that her testimony can result in pleas by the others, thus avoiding costly trials. They must give up rights to appeals in any plea bargain.

LE is saying there's a 4th person involved. I bet someone's a**hole is puckered so tight at the moment, even a wisp of air couldn't pass through it after eating an entire can of pork n beans!

I doubt they'll run free for very much longer. I would certainly be resentful if I were involved and stuck doing time while they continued to live outside of prison/jail.

Really? Shirley, a different story? She knew EXACTLY what was going on and allowed it to happen. She removed her cat and her daughter from her home in preparation to MURDER her nighbors and make many innocent people suffer, all for MONEY! She's the lowest from of white trash living!

Ms. Shirley and David Bisard would make a great couple. Both are self absorbed criminals. The only problem they would experience between them would be who would get more time in front of the bathroom mirror.

It's too bad the FOP has most likely paid off a judge on Bisard's behalf. Bisard and the Leonard brothers deserve to be locked away in the same cage together for a very looooong time.

Exactly.
But I'd put a pecking order to any offer of leniency.
Moncy offers the best chance of being some kind of productive person. Give her the best offer possible, up front, and this case never goes to trial. It's that simple.

None of these morons knew what they were doing. No one intentionally murdered the neighbors. It's unacceptable that they died at the hands of some of the most vile people that walk this earth. They're predators. But none of them had a clue just how deadly their scheme was.
Murder is murder, though. Hang the ones responsible.
I see Moncy as the victim of her emotional needs. Unfortunately, she fell for this Leonard guy like so many other's did.
Let's hope that the level of justice meted out is proportionate and fair.

While Ms. Shirley was reponsible. She was a nurse, while that is no excuse and in no way lessens her role. She isn't a seasoned criminal like Leonard and I think she might sing like a songbird to get the very best deal possible. Leonard ran con after con I think no matter what he says no one would ever buy his story. He could tell the truth and most still would think he was telling a lie. I would bet they will try to get this trial moved.

I'm glad I read all the posts before responding.
You hit the nail on the head.
I'm a guy so my perspective is tainted, I know, but for me looking at a timeline of Moncy's divorce, bankruptcy and a con man for a boyfriend, I'd say she was pretty vulnerable to someone that said all the right things.
Leonard concocted a plan and failed like the dumb person he is. So he gets a hairbrained scheme and calls dumber. Between dumb and dumber they manage to blow the neighborhood up and kill two innocent people.
Make the ones responsible pay the dearest price a jury feels necessary.....or the scumbags cop out to.

I think this Leonard must have been one sweet talking fellow. I saw some of the women on the news that he ran his game on. Wonder what he has done we don't know about. He's like a drunk driver, they don't kill themselves, but it's always others that pay the price. I think if he is ever released he will be a repeat offender. Con after con. As for Ms. Shirley, I can only pray this was her uh-oh moment.

Has Bozo Brizzi entered his presence for the defence yet?

Wonder how long it will take for Ms. Shirley to turn state's evidence?

Too bad the uh oh moment had to be so costly.
Now that Moncy isn't under Leonard's constant influence, I think she'll sing a different tune.
And you're absolutely correct in mentioning that there's probably a ton of stuff Leonard has done that we won't hear a thing about. Some of his scam victims will be too embarrassed to step forward.

Sad and senseless. All for the almighty dollar. The death of the Longworth couple. Pets. I really wonder if Leonard has any sense of the magnitude of destruction. I really believe he thought he'd get away with it. I wonder if he even flinched when he heard about the devastation.I hate to say it, but ashame he didn't save the taxpayers some money and just off himself.
