James Lee Strong, Jr. passed away Aug. 26, 2008, in Truth or Consequences, following a lengthy illness.

Most of my memories of growing up in Ruidoso till recently have Jamie and the gang in them and all the crazy stuff we all used to do, These are some of my most priceless memories. Although I have not seen him in a while he will be missed.

Jamie was my little brother, my "mouse", my friend. He didn't deserve the hand life dealt him in the end. But he lived a good life, and he had good friends. I thank you all for being there for him. We will see him again!

So true Kevin, so true, crazy at the time and priceless now...I laugh about it all even now. Stories that have been passed to my kids..it just goes on. Its sad that so many of us all is gone..

Jamie was my little brother too. And my heart aches for loss of him. But I know he is no longer in such pain. And I'm discovering how very many friends he had. He was fortunate to have so many loving friends. Thank you for the stories of him. He lives still in our memories.

Jaj is my uncle. He still visits me often with random visits from lizards and butterflies. He also "prompts" me to look at the time when it is 5:55 or 2:22 or 12:12. It started happening the day after he died. I am positive that he's riding motorcycles in heaven. That's probably him when it thunders-Ha! I'm so happy he can breathe now but selfishly I miss him like crazy. We are only 2 years apart so he's always been more like a brother. Tommy & Chris, he talked often about wishing he could find a way to live close to you. It would have been great for him too. He could always breathe better at lower altitudes. But he did love the mountains too. Anyway I just thought you should know that he missed you and talked about you alot. He got very private at the end of his life because he didn't want to burden anyone else with his pain. He left a beautiful, loving, talented daughter here with us too. She has his spirit in her. He raised her with love and respect and she has the same perfect combination of help anyone or any animal in need with the playful prankster that always catches you off guard. I truly miss his laugh!Give 'em hell in heaven Jaj - I love you!
