Could this be the beginning of the end for Presidente Raffy? The U.S. wants to destabilize Ecuador? Why would the U.S. waste their time when he's doing such a great job for us? Soon he will be limiting travel just like his Tio Hugo. Unbelievable.

I guess organizations like Green Peace are working with the Natives in the Andes, since Correa wants to mine on their lands and control other resources without their consent. I do not, however, have any proof that Green Peace is part of his idea of a 'right wing' group.

In Guayaquil, a lot of people are very unhappy with Correa now. The teachers union, Correa wants to eliminate the union, the take over of the private electric company and the firing of employees who disagreed with the take over. Plus many other things going on.

Dear Latino_gringo, I've heard much of this same info except for Green Peace. I'm also hearing that movie theatres are not airing English-language movies unless they've been translated into Spanish (which makes perfect sense). And you're exactly right that more and more of the gente are becoming more unhappy with Correa as the days go by. Muy interesante. By chance did you ever work at the FOL as I did?

I don't think Prez Raffy is so worried about the Gringos. But he'd better be thinking about his gente y esta hombre, Jaime Nebot. http://ecuador-rising.blogspot.com/2010/01/ne... This man sounds like a good one. Es verdad.
