Shame that the LDS church cannot do more for those suffering in Darfur and the DRC.

They help wherever and however they can. They work within the limits of the host nation's laws and where their volunteers can reasonably be secure in their persons from theft, assault and murder (Would a war zone be more or less able to secure such protections?). They do provide a special dietary supplement to aid starving children at no cost to those organizations in that can administer it effectively in such areas.
