Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa left the door open to dissolving the Andean nation's legislature and calling for new general elections, about a year after the last poll.

Sounds like Raffy has been talking to Thugo. Can't get action in the legislature..desolve it!
Can't get the oil companies to pay ransom, take control away from them.
Can't get water and mineral rights from the indians? Blame it on the US and 'other' instigators!
I hope the Ecuadorean people are smarter than this Thugo!

I think Ecuador will be ok most of the ecuadorians are very hard working people, thats why i married one ; )

At least Raff doesn't have the kind of money to spend that Hugo has. Takes a lot of money to be a total dictator these days. So Raffy can only be a "partial dictator". I agree though, the Ecuadorian people are used to a mostly free, egalitarian life, and would probably rise up in indignation if Correa were to assume a totally dictatorial stance.
