Zyprexa rocks, its made me sane again and I feel great.

Lilly are greedy bastards, true, but its been prescribed to millions and most are OK, just the whiners that come on to forums as they have nothing else better to do, well apart from eat that is.

Get a life, get a hobby and get out of the fridge and do some exercise.

The voices have stopped, its all good now

If it works for Ricky - leave him alone, he is happy with the drug and he has the right to his opinion as well - Does only negative comments count here?

Do the math people - this drug has been precribed to millions of people over 12 years and only a relativly small amount of people have been affected badly by it.

If it was THAT bad, it would have been pulled by now - Its giving benefits to millions, but all you want to do is knock it.

We need a balanced view in here

If it helped you great. Thing that reall bothers me is that they could have at least told us about the side effects and let us made up our own mind. Instead I watch my husband with diabetes (type 1), Two kinds of neuoropaphty, gastroparesis, panceas damage, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, just to name a few things. He has said that he would be willing to have his legs cut off if it would stop the pain. I don't like to see anyone suffer, much less my husband. But if it works for some.... Great, but next time maybe tell us ahead of time so we can make the decision as whether or not we want to risk the side effects and take the drug.

Too many people are suing one medication which is causing beyond serious effects. Is there anyone from the first round who will proceed with a class action to have Eli Lilly provide monthly payments for the life time of the affected. Diabetes is mild compared to what some people are suffering from the ingestion of Zyprexa. It just has been been made public yet.

Zyprexa does work for some but you have to realize that everyone's body is different, they react different.A lot of us did get bad reactions from the drug. As for me, zyprexa did infact give me diabetes ,neuropothy, high blood pressure and decreased my vision. I'm a DAV (some people knows what that is),DISABLED AMERICAN VETERAN. Everyone has their own opinion, keep degradation to yourself. Zyprexa does causes problems for some and I'm one that it did. I exercise everyday and still got ill from it. They need to own up to the problems that did affect other people and pay up. They need to take responsiblity for what they did to some people. Who are you to say the people that got sick didn't exercise. Think about it. What works for some may not work for others.

I'm glad Zyprexa worked for you, Ricky. It works for me, too.

I agree, Lilly are greedy bastards. Zyprexa has been prescribed to millions. I do not believe that most are OK. I do not believe that all of the people that Zyprexa did not work for are whinners and have nothing better to do than post their comments on forums and eat. I do not believe that all of the afforementioned people don't have lives or hobbies, constantly live in the fridge and aren't active.

I'm glad the voices have stopped, Ricky.

As I mentioned, I also take Zyprexa, and it works very well for my condition, too.

You mentioned that all of the people on this forum do not have lives. if all is well for you, and you have a life and you're posting on these forums...doesn't that make you kind of a hypocrite?

These forums are not intended for people to attack others. They are here for people to reach and share their fealings. These people are exposing their vulnerability to others in hope of getting answers to good questions. The last thing on earth they need is an enemy to attack them at a time when they are already in great pain.

I hope, and strongly request that you either re-examine your ethics, or do not post on this board again - Although people that write in this fassion tend to lean toward cowardice and you will probalbly never come back to read this reply. And that's fine with me.

My boyfriend was put on Zyprexa less then a week ago and all he does is sleep and eat. He seem to have bloaded like a balloon. Diabetes runs in is family. I'm not knocking the medication but I wonder if he should stop it event without his doctor approval. Please help.

The various formulas set forth below are how we determined the minimum gross settlement offer amounts (before attorneys’ fees and expenses are deducted) for the 950 Claimants potentially eligible to participate in this settlement. Once Lilly and Lead Plaintiffs’ Counsel reach final agreement about the precise list of Claimants to be included in this settlement, their documented injury categories, and the total gross dollars to be paid by Lilly for those claims, it is expected that each Claimant who accepts his/her settlement offer will receive an second gross payment (before attorneys’ fees and expenses) totaling
approximately 5-10 percent of his/her minimum gross settlement offer amount set forth in their “Client Notification and Award
Letter,” with appropriate adjustments.
Each claimant’s respective minimum gross settlement offer amount is determined by first identifying their specific injury classification, date of earliest documented usage, and age. This amount is the minimum base allocation amount to which any additional payments for which the Claimant qualifies are then added.INJURY CLASSIFICATION& AWARD CALCULATION Group 1: Diabetes Related Injury w/ First Usage On or Before March 1st, 2004.(Approximately 633 Claimants*) A “Diabetes-Related Injury” refers to death attributable to a type 2 diabetes-related complications, insulin-dependenttype 2 diabetes, non-insulin dependent type 2 diabetes, type 2 diabetes not requiring medication, aggravation of pre-existing type 2 diabetes as determined by a change in the level or type of medication, or pancreatitis where no pre-existing pancreatitis had occurred.Based upon a review of each
Claimant’s respective medical records those individuals who suffered any of the
aforementioned injuries and have proof of Zyprexa usage on or before March 1st, 2004 are eligible for a minimum base allocation determined by the formula set out below.1 Throughout this document, the “Claimant” means the person, whether living or deceased, who has or had qualifying Zyprexa usage, and who is represented by Lead Plaintiffs’ Counsel, either directly or through his/her estate, in the Zyprexa litigation.(Approximately 241 Claimants*)Claimants who can provide proof of Zyprexa usage and proof that after ingesting Zyprexa they developed clinically significant weight gain and hyperglycemia are eligible for a base allocation of $5,000.00.

BALANCE...perhaps you are imbalanced...greed makes $ for drug companies who know the dangers of their drugs but sell them anyway and push them in doctor offices all across this country..next time you're in a medical setting look around at all the paraphenalia provided by these drug lords..ie, pens, pads of paper, clocks, clipboards, a stock room full of free samples...well dressed sales people with briefcases and napsacks overflowing with their offerings..GET A GRIP!!!

Ricky , you really have no idea of what you're talking about . Medications affect people differently . I'm a vegetarian and I do alot of exercising but still got sick anyways . You need to only talk for yourself . Alot of other people got sick and were exercising also . Show some human compassion for those that got injured from the zyprexa . I'm glad to hear that it worked for you but for some others it didn't . Alot of deaths happend from this medication . You're just one of the lucky ones that it did help . What if it happend to someone you love ? You would be singing a different song . So , only speak for yourself , since you want to be so ugly about the misfortune of others .

Hi Ricky,

I don't know you, and this is my first time ever coming onto this forum.((actually just discovered this forum moments ago, while searching "zyprexa deaths" on google)) My brother has died, due to Zyprexa. At first, things seems normal... yes the voices went away for him, but his skinny frame soon ballooned up. He had no history of diabetes in our family, when he suddenly collapsed and fell into a two month diabetic coma. I've read, eating one 10mg pill of Zyprexa is equal to about 1500 extra calories taken in a day. It has a 90% chance of causing weight gain... so even if you aren't reaching for the fridge 24/7 you can expect to see your belly swell. While in the hospital, he lost some weight, being in a coma and fed through tubes can do that to a person. So, after surviving his coma and learned how to walk again... he was released, and prescribed Zyprexa again. Slowly, but surely the weight was put back on... and this was a man who was 41 years old, couldn't drive so he walked everywhere he would go... he got exercise, he wasn't some fat slob as you seem to think. He died suddenly, in the yard while mowing the lawn.

My brother is gone, and I truly believe that he'd still be alive today, if it wasn't for Zyprexa.

Sup peops, man I've tried so many other meds for a bi-polar/schizo/sociopath/para noia/addict/insomnia/ straight whacked, yet spiritual man today! I give this drug alot of credit because it works for me and my doctor cut a deal with the rep where I get samples for free 5mg's fine for me..Thanks be to God! I sympathize for all of you who have had bad experiences from the drug. Lamictal, Ablilify, depakote, etc...just did not do it for me. Personally, Im 6 1' 180 and now on Zyprexa I really enjoy the results of weighing about 2 hunge, it reminds me of when I was taking steroids a while back without the rage. I can actually eat know without nervously looking out my window in the inner city of JErsey every few bites, and takes the anxiety out of most social situations. I thank God for this drug today...and pray that it continues to work in the future. Much success to all of you! 1 Luv

You are under the illusion Zyprexa is great. You think those of us who come here to share the horrors of this drug are whiners. You tell us to get a life. Please tell that to my beloved late husband who is buried at Forest Lawn.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Leo

You'll be action-oriented today, Leo. If truth be told, intense physical activity has the ability to soothe you much more than frenzied mental exercise. Invitations to madness are the wrong thing for you, but they are tempting nonetheless. Dig in your heels and do what you know you have to do. When driving this evening, take extra care.
