Dear Lost,
Thank you so much for your compassion. It only took three days for my late beloved husband's organs to shut down, but it still was a horrible way to pass away. I hope the coma took away the pain. It has been just over one-and-a-half years, but I still go through shock and flashbacks of being with him in the ICU. I have a wonderful boyfriend, but I still go through pain. He understands, because his beloved wife passed away just over two years ago. He is certain it was due to a medication she was taking. It caused her to have aplastic anemia which they did not diagnose until it was late. He and I met in bereavement group. Given our experiences, it makes me wonder how many dangerously life-threatning medications are out there. Getting horrible zyprexa off the market will be the beginning of going after pharmecutical companies who put out horrible meds on the market.

I am so happy you have found love again. It makes a world of difference. There are a multitude of medications doing the same thing as zyprexa. Alot are causing diabetes and pancreatitus. By the time anybody figures out that you have to have your gallbladder out you can chalk it up to your medications. The pharma industry would be destroyed if more people would look at this. Hey if they can give you diabetes you need them for life right....and most will. Very sad day when intentionally killing people is so profitable. The FDA is being paid to push the drug approvels and these companys keep producing what will wind up killing over half the world. All for the billions Eli-lily makes....sad indeed. I guess its what makes money for everybody from Medicare to major corporations. Come up with a drug, kill off some folks and bill the piss outta the Medicare, Medicaid and insurance industry. Wonder how long before Obama is on Eli-lily board of directors like corrupt Bush. Not long cause Bush made billions off them too....to look the other way while they kill off a few folks. Sad indeed...

Can anyone tell me if Zyprexa affects the thyroid and causes hypothroidism. My son has been on this drug since he was 18 and now he is 29. He is extremely tired, his pupils do not dilate, his eyes are in pain, He is always cold, lost weight, picks up viruses. He is very weak. This started gradually. About three years ago he started hearing voices....He NEVER HEARD VOICES at 18 years old. Now he has become 'Electromagnetically sensitive' to Microwave, Cell waves. Is Zyprexa implicated in all of this....does it suppress the thyroid, increase metal toxicity and suppress the immune system. If he touches anything that is charged or allergic to..he will violently shake.

My son has been taking Zyprexa since he was 18 years old and now he is 29. Can anyone tell me if it is connected to hypothroidism or thyroid disease. My son feels cold, is extremely tired, legs are weak and has lost weight. Since about three years ago he started hearing voices...but at 18 years old he NEVER HEARD VOICES. The worst is his eyes hurt, his pupils do not dilate..he cannot watch a movie or read. Is this connected to thyroid dysfunction and is Zyprexa implicated. I have read that in Chinese medicine the eyes are connected to the Liver. The liver is toxic from lengthy use of the drug, then the eyes are affected, He has also developed "Electromagnetic sensitivity"..he is sensitive to microwave, wireless signals, telephone and electricity. He lives a life as a prisoner in the house..doing nothing but sleeping. Has Zyprexa suppressed his thyroid and lowered his immune system. Has it increased his toxic metal load in his body? They do not know the long term effect of this drug.
Is there anyone else with this experience?
I am fighting for my son. I will not stop until
I bring his health back. The pychiatrists who dispense the medication increduoulsy know nothing about the many side effects.
I have to find help holistically and spiritually.
I am turning to Naturapaths, enlightened Doctors,
and Rekki healer.

So Sherryd, it sounds like a 6 pound weight gain and no diabetes related side effects is OK given that the drug worked for your original condition/need?
I assume that there is a difference in the zyprexa and the zydis or why would they make 2 sets of the drug.....I know that some will say to make more MONEY, but there must be a reason for this apart from financial.
Did you suffer any other symptons? and how long have you been on the drug.
Thx

Hi,
My son has been on Zyprexa for 11 years since he was 18 and now he is 29 years old. Is there anyone out there that has been on this medication a long time?
My son at 18 was a healthy and intelligent person...now he is a shadow of that. He feels muscle pain, has lost a lot of weight,
he suffers from 'electromagnetic sensitivity' he shakes when he goes near the telephone. He has pollen, mold and food allergies.
THE PUPILS OF HIS DO NOT DILATE.His eyes hurt.He cannot read, he cannot watch television, he cannot think or reason because it hurts his brain. He is allergic to the sun.

His thyroid is low..he is always cold.
He hears voices now...BUT AT 18 HE NEVER HEARD VOICES!

Is there anyone with similar experience who can help?
I cannot take him off the Zyprexa...because he will shut down.
I am trying to very very slowly wean him off this drug.

He cannot take any supplements bacause he will shake and pain will
go to his eyes.
I REGRET THAT HE WAS PUT ON THIS DRUG.

AN INTUITIVE DOCTOR WOULD HAVE TREATED HIM HOLITICALLY with diet change, allergy testing, blood tests to determine his levels and supplements to address shortages and build up immunity.

I'm taken Zyprexa zydis now, and I'm about to get off of it, because of the weight gain, I gained 22 pounds since I have been on Zyprexa zydis, I was 129 when started, now i'm 151 and I hate it, can't fit any of my clothes anymore, and it has made my stomach big, I look like I'm pregnant. Can anyone tell how long was it when after they stop taken Zyprexa zydis that they lost weight.
My daughter has a history of mild mental retardation and prone to violent episodes. She is n a special home for retarded adults and is on a lot of drugs like Zyprexa, Venlar, Risperdal, Rivotril!!!! She is hugely overweight, and is now a diabetic and on Epilim as she is an Epileptic. Poor girl - I cannot get her psychiatrist at the home to even think of changing her medication. She also cannot breathe well. I am 75 years old now and am so tired of trying to speak the psychiatrist treating her. Should I let sleeping dogs lie????

Eli Lilly Zyprexa Claims Still Unresolved

Eli Lilly Zyprexa can cause diabetes I took Zyprexa a powerful Lilly schizophrenic drug for 4 years it was prescribed to me off-label for post traumatic stress disorder was ineffective costly and gave me diabetes.

This is a powerful drug that can damage a young person physiologically for life. Please take with caution and learn as much as you can about side effects. Eli Lilly's #1 cash cow Zyprexa drug sale $40 billion dollars so far,has a ten times greater risk of causing type 2 diabetes over the non-user of Zyprexa. So,here we have a conflict of interest that this same company also is a big profiteer of diabetes treatment.

FIVE at FIVE

The Zyprexa antipsychotic drug, whose side effects can include weight gain and diabetes, was sold for "children in foster care, people who have trouble sleeping, elderly in nursing homes."

Five at Five was the Zyprexa sales rep slogan, meaning 5mg dispensed at 5pm would keep patients quiet.

Google * Eli Lilly Zyprexa * and read the links. I took Zyprexa it gave me diabetes and was as addictive as tobacco. How so? Because withdrawal is accompanied by severe insomnia for 6 weeks.

CHECK THIS OUT!

http://psychrights.org/articles/LevineLillyan ...

More than one journalist has uncovered corrupt connections between the Bush Family, psychiatry, and Eli Lilly & Company, the giant pharmaceutical corporation

In the United States in 2003, Zyprexa grossed $2.63 billion, 70 percent of that attributable to government agencies, mostly Medicaid.

Historically, the exposure of any single Lilly machination—though sometimes disrupting it—has not weakened the Bush-psychiatry-Lilly relationship. In the last decade, some of the more widely reported Eli Lilly intrigues include:

Influencing the Homeland Security Act to protect itself from lawsuits
Accessing confidential patient records for a Prozac sample mailing
Rigging the Wesbecker Prozac-violence trial
A sample of those who have been on the Eli Lilly payroll includes:

Former President George Herbert Walker Bush (one-time member of the Eli Lilly board of directors)
Former CEO of Enron, Ken Lay (one-time member of the Eli Lilly board of directors)
George W. Bush’s former director of Management and Budget, Mitch Daniels (a former Eli Lilly vice president)
George W. Bush’s Homeland Security Advisory Council member, Sidney Taurel (current CEO of Eli Lilly)
The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (a recipient of Eli Lilly funding)

These side effects were not there before use. A simple mentally and physically exausted Sole Dad diagnosed wrongly, and treated in a disgraceful way. Mind Contol Zyprexia used in the Mental System.

Doctor agreed the drug would/could cause Schystophenia and Parkinson's. HUGE black out reports only agree by by black-outs! Is a skellaton of his former self. Prisoner of Monash Medical Mental System for 12 years, by daily force fed drugs. Why cannot Australia follow USA with this Drug? Eli Lilly is getting away with murder here!

Why is there NOBODY BRAVE ENOUGH to take a stand against the MONASH MENTAL SYSTEM ClAYTON MELBOURNE VIC.? Where are the voices who also suffer at the hands of their MIND CONTROL DRUGS - BANNED IN THE USA - ZYPREXIA? Keeping an involuntary patient prisoner to their system for 12 years! No-one will listen amongst their medics, and HUGE black-out medical reports prove they are doing wrong! NO NEED FOR BLACK OUTS when everything is right. WRONG DIAGONIS CREATED IRREVERSALE SIDE EEFECTS of PARKINSON'S.

Just pray that no-one you love will be lost over this holiday season, as I cannot guarantee how long some of these souls on this Zyprexia will last.

I pray for all those caught up in such an inhumane Medical Mental Sytem.

I pray because no-body wants to be brave enough to help them.

I pray, because once I had more faith in the medics, but for those who have no feeling, that their eyes will be opened.

I pray, that some of them might have to take their own medicine.

I pray all this, because they also make me sick to watch others suffer.

I pray, that some-one with an ear migt have a heart. That some-one with a heart might be given eyes to see for themselves the harm that is being done. That this whole Zyprexia saga will no longer be the crutch the Medics can fall back on to keep their victims prisoners to their disgraceful treatment of human beings. Even their pets would get better treatment than these souls suffer at their hands.

I will not stop until somebody helps. Enough is enough in anybody's life. Just pray it will not happen to one of yours.
