Same here thanks for the intell,we will see if Eli lilly 'puts their money where their mouth is'

The settlement fund is collecting 4%(or more?) interest in an escrow account,so the longer they can hold off the more they make on the side.--Daniel Haszard

I heard that they are still trying to meet the number of claims requirement that zyprexa caused diabetis. If they don't have enough info, you have 30 days to get it right. They are still going through the claims. My lawyer could not give me a date. I agree with someone who said they will delay because they are getting that 4% intrest. My lawyer first said it had to be done by november, but now they are not saying this. Anybody thinking of getting one of those no win loans? At least we will get something, even if they never pay.

Hey guy's, i found your sight the other night while searching for info for my very sick sister. She has had Bypolar since the age of five among other problems. What i need to know is May 19th 06 to late to send her discovery pkg. filled out in to the lawyers i found on the web. These lawyers turned her down once before ever looking at her medical records. Then sent her a letter begging for her to come back! She took Zyprexa for 8 years she has Pancreitas & Ketoacidosis. As of 2 weeks ago she stated getting shaky & clammy and very sick
would she be be Diabetic now? Please advise!

I didn't know anything about the suit until this past May.
Do you think it was to late to send in her discovery pkg.
Also, i just talk to her and told her to go to one of the walk-in clinics to get checked. I live 1100 hunderd miles away from her at this time/selling house to move back to take care of her. My familey needs a break1 Thanks Again...

I and my husband who contracted diabetes from zyprexa would like to know if anyone knows what is going on with the payouts. His lawyer is being very vauge about things right now. Maybe some of you are going through the same thing but it doesn't hurt to ask others.

Head of Eli Lilly's legal division works to protect patented drugs
Friday July 07, 2006

INDIANAPOLIS Asked how often he confers with his boss at Eli Lilly and Co., General Counsel Robert A. Armitage replies dryly,``Probably more than he likes.''
The 58-year-old Armitage heads Lilly's 230-person legal division, which in this litigation-happy age plays a role as critical to Lilly's fate as its scientists or sales force.

In the drug industry, where defending patents and other intellectual property is a make-or-break matter,``The game we play now is much more important to do right,'' Armitage says.

Since joining Lilly in 1999, Armitage has been charged with pulling the Indianapolis drug maker through one sticky legal thicket after another. He hasn't always succeeded.

Now he's waging an even bigger fight: trying to protect Zyprexa, Lilly's new top drug, against thousands of liability lawsuits by patients and a patent attack by three generic drug makers.

In January 2003, Armitage was promoted to general counsel and senior vice president, succeeding Becky Kendall. Last year his salary, bonus, stock award and other compensation totaled $2.88 million, making him the company's fifth-best-paid executive.

Lipsey says Armitage has worked closely in shaping Lilly's arguments in the case and remains sure of the legal approach.``When he has an idea and thinks he is right, he is almost unshakeable on it,'' he said.

Lilly's top lawyer is nothing if not confident.``I haven't had a shiver of worry or concern about this case,'' he says.

Everybody start blogging get a MYCOOL BLOG like mine
http://zyprexa.mycool.com/

I have about 10 zyprexa blogs up on the net and about 40 different other bogs on various issues.

I know from experience that MYCOOL for some unknown reason gets a high rank on the search engine index

Post your case history and say what your saying here and Lilly's agents and investors will cringe.

We can wack em on the web!

REPLY - The people who are not in the class action suit are with individual law firms. Most will settle individually out of court. A very few will go to court. I pray that a few airtight cases will go to court and that the attorneys will dig to reveal the truth, just as has happened in the Vioxx cases. Merck was caught by their own evidence; emails and so forth, making it very clear that they knew Vioxx could kill. This is what needs to be revealed about Lilly and Zyprexa but it can only happen in a court case since all our lawyers signed a pledge of secrecy.

Yes i need some help from people who have taken Zyprexa. Yes I have diabetes as well as the rest of you. I have also developed something very interesting that drs claim a medical mystery. I have developed Clonus and hyperreflexia. What my symptoms are if i put pressure on my legs they start to shake uncontrolable. My toe on my feet will either stick straight up or curl under. My condition is getting worse. To have this there has to be some type of dpinal injury or brain problem. I have no medical reason for this. So I need to know if anyone else has this problem. Please help

Hello Sunfisher:
Hope all goes well for you.My family is a sufferer from the Zyprexa nightmare also.Hopefully there will by some miracle be a little more compassion maybe by some Judges in this matter for the innocent Victims. It won't probably be from the Firm.
