xanax withdrawal

I was taking 6mg xanax ped day and I stopped cold turkey...I had all the major symptoms up to seizures . Its been 2 weeks and I'm still feeling the symptoms, does anyone know some home remedies that will help???

Read up on phenibut. Its cheap to find and a pretty safe substance. Could help with benzo w/d's. I find low doses are effective for me. You build tolerance pretty quickly but stopping is not a big deal like benzo's.

hi here is my story. i was on xanax for 6 years with dosage of 4mg daily , i coulndnt let my home without bills i crried them in my pockets, in my car, in my laptop bag, in my office , i couldn’t be in the elevator without them . i passed through horrible times i faced tens of panic attacks , i fight with my mind for the dark ideas such as being afraid of HEART ATTACK , i heard my mind thinking , the music keeps repeating in my mind ,i got panic when the road is crowded , i used high blood pressure medication ,

then in one day i decided to stop this hell ( i remember it was 10 mar 2008 ), i made the decision to start decrease my dose slowly and slowly (without doctor help), it took 3 months till the first day without XANAX (it was the greatest day in my life 14 jun 2008 ), then i started to suffer from withdrawals symptoms such as horrible HEART BEAT i couldn’t sleep because my Heart was strongly beating , also bad disorder and strong headache , hearing thoughts i mean YOU CAN HEAR YOUR MIND THINKING , also some rhythms or songs keeps forcefully repeating in your mind , i walked down on the streets keep holding my breath expecting something bad to happen AHHHHHHH ,
but i fight all my fears i stayed beside the people i love i used the arabic herbs tea which helps me a lot to overcome the hellish symptoms , AND I AM HERE !! HUMAN BEING BACK FROM HELL , but I’m still having small problem of SHORT TERM MEMORY , BUT I’M OK
and because i know what is the meaning of quit XANAX , I’m ready to help any one want to STOP XANAX.

I took xanax for 4 months, at first just half of 0.25mg. It went up to .05 in the final month before I decided to quit cold turkey. Wow,the withdrawl symptoms were intense even with that relative low dosage. The panic attacks and anxiety almost made me throw myself out of the window to end the pain. But in the end, it's the will power. The symptoms will go away, although now it's about 3 weeks and I still suffer from its effect. This is a horrible drug, you wouldn't want to give it to your worst enemy. I can understand if you have taken 6mg. But then, for how long have you been taken it? I found out on the internet that it's the length rather than the dosage that dictates the length of the persistence of the symptoms.

But EXERCISE, and I mean INTENSE exercise will help, but only gradually. I think it will take at least one month to get some sort of normality, but again, that's my case, taken into account my duration of the abuse. BUT it will go away.

Remaining strong, and talk with your love ones may help as well as eating nutritous food, drinking a lot of fluid may also help.

If indeed, it's too painful, then medical help is
required.

But never take xanax again, it's not worth it.

every month I take all my xanax early, then go thru withdrawals for 10 days. I can't help myself. I have been on xanax for many years. The 10 days a month are ruining my life as well as my husbands

Does it seem weird that people are now getting addicted to xanax? How is it that these people got hooked in the first place?
