These are usually mild and all, except the change in eye color, are usually reversible. I rarely ever have patients notice these side effects and I can't tell is they are on Xalatan or are off it by their eye appearance, except in rare cases. Lumigan and Travatan, other prostaglandin agents, are much more likely than Xalatan do have these side effects. These patients are easily noticed in the waiting room as their eyes are redder and they have the raccoon-like eyes.

My wife has been on Xalatan for years, and eye discoloration if any is minimal. If we could only get a generic out there to save on our monthly expenses!

I live in Costa Rica, and a generic Xalatan is available here - GAAP.

Costs about $15/bottle, which is less than my Co-Pay in the USA.

The bottle is still the teeeeeeny size used there.

I, too, am in Costa Rica and found GAAP generic Xalatan. Has anyone found generic Cosopt? I use this med, as well. I find it on the internet, but I do not find it in Costa Rica.
