Just curious what you think is your best online source and why? I'm going to give it a go- but so many people say so many sources are bad-
Thoughts?

I tried perfectpoppypods because I read on here that they were good. I ordered some and for me the pods were weak. Maybe I just got a bad batch.

I take water that's close to boiling with a little lemon juice. I ended up having to just take the grounds from my blender and mix it with yogurt. Still not much of anything. I used 5 pods each time. The liquid from the tea wasn't bitter at all like I'm use to. I do have a tolerance, but I've had pods that were good before even with a tolerance. I've used poppypodsinternational and it was decent. The pods are a couple hundred a box, so I wanted to find a cheaper place. Maybe it's just me because you seem to be ok using perfectpoppypods. When my tolerance goes down, I will try this place again.

That sounds like either you got a bad batch or possibly the water was too hot.(heat will kill opioids) also depending on the pH of your water, which lemon juice will lower, you may not be getting a good extraction.

JohnnyDraco1 wrote: <quoted text>Yes I've read there is a certain method you have to use almost like chemistry to get the most opioids from the poppy. You ain't kidding! I did a lot of homework on getting the most and it can easily differ on the water you use. I got some free test strips at Lowes' water softener dept just to test my water. Some have to simply buy a jug of distilled water.

I really don't think it's that technical. Crush pods, hot water, filter. Some people use cold water, some actually simmer the pods without issues with potency. I've had good batches, it's just hard to find decent pods here. If anything, it's probably my tolerance.

That's where I got most of my education in the poppy area lol. Like JD said, if you have a pretty high tolerance, that could very well be the issue. But you had said they had worked before. Puzzling.

I've ordered from poppypodsinternational. The pods from there were good. I dont think i will ever get the full effects because of my tolerance. I would of just ordered from there again, but the lowest price is a couple hundred for a box. That's why I tried perfectpoppypods because they had a box for $49 plus free shipping. It seems like there's such a difference with pods. Overseas pods seem stronger. The tea is darker and really bitter. With pods here in the states the tea always turns out looking and tasting like green tea. It's sooooo fustrating Like a secret I haven't been let in on with these pods. I've tried sweet Paula's pods, driedpoppysdirect, rachaels flowers and weddings, and perfectpoppypods. I give up!!

The ones from overseas haven't been crossbred (I'm assuming that's the case) I plan on ordering from overseas this winter and grow some of my own using the seeds that come with those pods. I must admit I'd love to try the latex at least once. Also, I'll know they haven't been chemically treated and also fresh.

So I knew at that point it's either move onto the hard shit like oxy or quit. So I quit. I've been to the oxy forum a few times and definately don't want to get involved with that stuff. I know, I got some after a month recently and could barely feel it. After a month off. If they don't work, there's not much point. I'm not going to o.d. from the tylenol.

JohnnyDraco1 wrote: <quoted text> I heard if you do it that way the water is too hot and kills the opioids. There's a formula online if you research it. The water I think needs to be distilled and a certain temperature and timing to get all the opioids extracted from the plant. Argh, too complicated!
