are etizolam addictive?

I found the valium taper i did easy. NO wd. Granted I was reducing by 1mg/week so that made it ok. I think benzo wd is mentally worst but opiates are mentally agony the two drugs wd are soo diff but pretty bad. baaad

I didnt say long acting benzos are less addictive, just that val long t1/2 is a better choice fo tapering. In fact long acting benzos are more addictive due to constant down regulation of neuro transmitters. Also etizolam isnt a benzo, rather a thiendiazepin, lacking the benzene ring. Thus the legal loop hole.

However, my hunch is that short half life drugs are more addictive in a psychological sense because the dosing is more regular. But you make a good point about the constant exposure to long half life drugs.

Do y amind em asking hold ya went about tapering man? Did you do this yourself or did you go to a gp?(and if ya went to doc, was he alright and helpful to ya) Fair play to you for kickin em. I dont think the shitty chalk vals off here would be any use for a taper and I can't seem to be able to sourse any proper benzos, maybe cutting down slowly on the etizs be the way to go?

i went to a drug and alcohol charity service who sorted me out with a specialist dr but she was useless, and it took them 2 months to agree to putting me on a diazepam taper and they only would give me 2 x2mg a day having to go to pharmacy to collect twice a day. so i just did it on my own, just gradually cutting down by half a mg every few days until i was just doing like an quarter of a pill ever other day and then just stopped completely after about 2 months of tapering but the wds that followed where not nice at all, lost all motivation, couldnt sleep,lost all confidence and character could barely stand to have my gf well now ex gf touch me or me show any affection, basically that was what ended our relationship. took me quite a while of soberness to return to normal.just tapering from vals atm and it is so much easier compared to what i went through with etiz.

Been on 1 to 2mgs b4 bed for a few months. Never in the day time, only at night so I have 24hr's in between doses.
What should I expect when i stop?
