the uk police do not differentiate between a real bullet firing gun and stun guns so i would avoid these things like the plague if you value your freedom. you wouldnt sell a mac 10 on a forum so why take the same risk with a stun gun?

you would get way more time for having a gun without a licence over a stun gun

went for a retractable baton from ioffer, waiting for delivery, rather keep my distance if im going to get in strife.
also got this for the Mrs to keep in the side door panel, after someone tried to open her car door at some lights. Luckily door was locked.

so long as you have a key on it, its legally a keyring and not a knuckleduster.
Got them for my old man and mum too, if they are going to ever have to hit back, i want then to only need do it once.
Dont think of me as some kind of idiot who goes looking for trouble, I only get things like this for the "just in case" moments in life. Never had a fight in my life or been mugged etc, but if it was going to happen id want to be prepared but legal as possible.

actually, they're right, stunguns (and pepper spray) are classed under the firearms act. It's like saying what's more illegal...a tonne of h or a tonne of crack...no difference in the eyes of the law

the firearms act is firearms and offensive weapons. If you show up in court for a stun gun more than likely a suspended sentence or community service but if you went to court for a gun you would definitely end up in jail. Use your brain guns kill people, stun guns hurt. its like saying you would get in the same trouble for an air gun as you a real gun..

I can see where you're coming from, just what I was told off an ex-copper. I guess it's because used incorrectly or for too long it can cause actually start to burn and cause some serious damage. There was a case a while back in manchester where someone got 5yrs for using one settling a drug-debt. If I find the story again I will post it

Your talking about when/if you get caught. It's the initial response that will have a difference. A stun gun that looks like a gun and an air pistol are likely to lead to an armed response squad. A mobile phone stun gun is likely to just get a standard response. Though not 100% sure. Just figure your more likely to get armed response if someone reports you with something that looks like a gun. Less people are likely to cotton onto what's happened if the stun gun looks like a mobile phone.
Btw there are also mobile phones that can fire 2 x 8mm rounds out there. Again no one would report seeing a gun. Lots of nasty hidden/disguised weapons out there and sadly even more nasty people willing to use them over nothing.
Stay safe and only f2f with people you know really well, like work mates well.

I'm glad you said that, if you gonna have to dish it out, better knowing yourself what it'll do. Anyone doing sh1t to animals are scum and have the same profile of a psychopath, shouldn't be allowed out on the streets.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Scorpio

You're in a very romantic and sentimental state today. You're also feeling quite sensitive and vulnerable, so you won't want to be around anyone you find abrasive or aggressive. If you meet someone for the first time now you'll think they're wonderful and your relationship will always involve putting them on a pedestal. But don't be too idealistic. They are human, remember!
