tramadol for anxiety/social nervousness

i've noticed that since beginning tramadol, my nervousness in social settings has greatly decreased, i'm generally in a good mood, and all symptoms of anxiety go out the window. has anyone else had similar experience with the drug? it seems to work better than any of the opiates the doc typically prescribes for that stuff. also, any good alternatives for anxiety that anyone's had luck with? mainly looking for something to help me in meetings and in front of groups during speeches and presentations. thanks so much for the help!

also, any long term side effects using tram other than seizure risk? i plan to use is for the anxiety for as long as i need to...

Yeah... good drug for enhancing mood, etc. It is a synthetic opiate. Works for me for pain and mood.
Problem is, this is a drug that if you take it regularly, at some point it will probably stop working. Then you have to increase the dosage to get same effect. And you can only do that so many times then you hit max prescriable dosage, then you have nothing.
If you only take it occasionally, like me, it is very good.
I have found other people who say Tramadol is the best "antidepressant" they've ever taken.

I recently started taking tramadol for chronic neck and shoulder pain from an accident and I am really pleased with it. I was previously taking hydrocodone but it was not really helping with the pain and was short acting. I take 1 or 2 of the 50ml tramadol and I have no pain for the first time in years. It lasts for over 12 hours for me. I have also noticed that it does have mood elevation qualities. There are some risks as with all medications and the possibility that it can be habit forming. Also everyone may respond differently. Based on what I have read, as long as you take it as prescribed...you should not have problems. It's the people who try to get high off of it by taking way too much that end up having severe complications like seizures.
