i've heard that medication that is stored in reasonable conditions retains at least 90% of its potency 5 years after the expiration date. Dont quote me on this but I'm pretty confident that I am right.

I took 3 T3s about 15 min ago and my ear infection is still there, but the pain is almost gone

I am in Sri Lanka for a while, previously in Jordan. Tylenol 3 is not available in these countries and I need it for Rheumatoid Arthritis pain, taken one in morning and one at night. How can a local pharmacy order this product anywhere in South East Asia?
Thanks for any help

The difference between the two pills are quite simply put...Tylenol 3's have codeine in them, while regular tylenol does not acquire codiene. As far as being expired, the downfall is that the pill lose some of their effects. A good way to realize if the pill is expired or not is when you place it in your mouth,(especially codiene products) it tends to dissapate or dissolve in your mouth within seconds.

Is taking Tylenol with codeine after the expiration date safe? I realize it will lose its potency and that doesnt bother me in the least. Will it somehow pose a threat if it is 2-3 years after expiration? The pills were made in June of 2005, fyi
