Interesting study that shows a fever is helpful in producing a strong immune response. So why does the CDC recommend fever reducing medicines for people with the flu? Are these fever reducers involved in the serious illnesses involved with this disease? I did a web search and found little recent studies on the benefits of fever, just a list of medications to reduce it. More work should be done in this area I believe. I will be much more cautious in taking fever reducers from now on.
