Hello,

I have been taking Singulair for about 10 years now, but I only take it from the middle of March until the middle of June, every year. About two years ago, I noticed that after starting to take it, I had become really irritible and constantly anxious all the time. This year, I started going off into full blown panic attacks along with the anxiety. I did some research and it appeared that a lot of people had similar issues with Singulair. Once I determined that Singulair was most likely the culprit, I immediately ceased taking it.

It's been over a month since I've stopped taking it and my panic attacks have gotten worse and more frequent. The anxiety is still about the same intensity. However, I have determined that my panic attacks occur after eating - particularly something with high salt, fat, sugar or white flour content.

Looking at the causes of panic attacks and anxiety, it seems that hypoglycemic episodes are a common trigger. My grandfather has hypoglycemia, his daughter (my aunt) has a blood-sugar disorder, and my sister has a blood-sugar disorder, so that type of thing runs in my family. Is it possible that Singulair could have triggered hypoglycemia in me somehow?

All I want to do is get my panic attacks and constant anxiety to stop and get my life back to the way it used to be. I have a doctor's appointment set up for Friday and have been reffered to a psychiatrist. I really think my problem is biologically triggered, not mentally triggered, and I have no desire to take meds for this crap! Sorry my post is so long, but any input would be GREATLY appreciated.
