FDA investigating possible link between Merck's Singulair aller...

The Food and Drug Administration said Thursday it is investigating a possible link between Merck's best-selling Singulair and suicide.

my son has been taking singulair since he was 2years old and is now 6. Concerned friends called me and told me about your report. There were times that my son went through behavioral issues that was totally off character and the teachers and myself were shocked about because he is very well mannered on a given day but there are times when his behavior is totally off-guarded. Did your report include the age in which these types of side effects were noticeable?

My son has been taking singular since the age of 3 and is now 14 and shown NO signs of suicide. I feel horrible for the parents that have had to go through such a tragic time in thier life. On the other hand, it has made my son breath and be able to function in everyday life. Thanks for putting the precautions on the side effect labels for everyone to view.

Three weeks ago my wife started talking to me about not caring if she lived or died, tired of life, ect.,She told me today that she quit her singular 3 weeks ago because she felt after 3 years that it wasnt doing anything for her. I seen the report on the TV about the FDA investigation today and I really think there is a link there! She has always been a happy go lucky lady and even her friends were worried about her and voiced there concerns about her depression the last couple of weeks. I really think people should be very careful and watch out for one another that have been taking this drug!
