Does anyone know what is going on with the lawsuit against Seraquel with Bailey Perrin and Bailey? I am part of it, however no one seems to know when it is going to be over or how the pay outs are going to be. I started taking the drug and was later diagnosed with diabeties. There is no history of it in my family and the doctors told me it was a side effect of the drug. Anyone else out there have the same problem?

Thanks, I keep calling and get no information. The firm just tells me it will be a couple of years. Do you have anymore info on how much the settlement may be? How many people are in the lawsuit (plaintifs)? Thanks for the info.

I too am suffering from the effects of Seroquel.
I've developed diabetes and I have several side effects. I developed gastriporesis and I have to have medicine that I have to take so my food will digest properly. Every time I get ill with something else I always get my doctor to send info to the law firm.I also developed NAFLD of the liver. So if you develope any other symptoms due to diabetes get your doctor to send the info to the law firm. |

someone wanted to know if seizures are part of the seroquel side effects, yes they are my sons have had seizures since taking seroquel and the seizures are sometimes mini ones and sometimes they last longer |

I too took Seroquel (for insomnia) and ended up with Type II Diabetes. I think I also have gastroparesis and will talk to my doctor about that also. I also gained weight on the stupid drug. I am wondering too about what the payout will be (if any). I have read somewhere that $75,000 is about what we should expect (minus attorney and other charges). It seems like we should be entitled to more since diabetes is life-long and very serious. I guess we have to wait and see.

i am seroquel, 100mg morning 300mg at night, and i don't think IT CAUSES diabetes. I do agree it raises your appetite A LOT, and it makes me so hungry i get horrible stomach aches, well it's slowly going away. I am pretty sure it doesn't actually cause it, but your diet changes when you're hungry all the time.

What I know. First of all so far, AstraZeneca has not agreed to settle. The latest thing on medworm is that AstraZeneca has been ordered to turn over more records with regard to Seroquel, even internal memos.
The 75,000 is just a speculation of the award amount. AstraZeneca has made no offer. The CEO of AstraZeneca gave a deposition on or about June 20. Some of the plaintiffs in the Zyprexa case still have not been paid. Those of you who have been or are taking Seroquel and do not think you have diabetes, need to get your Blood Sugar checked regularly. I signed up for Seroquel News and Seroquel Lawsuit news via google. This may help yall keep current about Seroquel. Hope all of this helps!!! |

I haven't been on seroquel for about two years now. But I was on 1200mg at night and 200mg in the morning. I had never had any real illness before taking seroquel except for the occasional cold or flu. But not long after I started taking seroquel the ugly side effects took hold. I gained 65 lbs., had recurrent idiopathic pancreatitis, hypoglycemia, severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomitting, chronic diarhhea, and suffered from pnuemonia 3 seperate times (the last nearly killed me). Then stopped taking seroquel, and have had eight stomach scopes, over ten hospitalizations, too many Emergency Room visits to ever care to remember, several surgeries, and getting ready for a "vagotomy" to cut the nerves to my pancreas and gall bladder. Granted I haven't been diagnosed with "diabetes" yet. But my doctors say it is sure to come.
And to think this all started because I didn't know how to express my feelings! peace! |

I was telling a friend about health issues (seizures) that I have developed and am being tested for when he told me about the serequel law suit. I have been on serequel for several years and now am also having digestion problems. I am interested in knowing how to contact the law firm handling this case. Can anyone give me the info? thanks |

I was telling my friend about the seizures that I have developed and am being tested for when he told me about the serequel law suit. After reading your comments I am now wondering if the digestion problems that I have developed (and am now on medication for) and the seizures may be related to the serequel. Can anyone give me the contact info for the law firm?(hopefully this may be the reason for my health issues). Thanks

My doctor just started me on a very small dose a couple of days ago for insomnia. 1/2 of a 25 mg tab in the morning and 100mg at bedtime.
Has anyone else had problems with being very groggy? I noticed the grogginess even with 12.5 mg morning dose. The tiredness might not be from the am dose. It might be carry over from the 100mg night time dose. If you have had the grogginess, is it temporary? |

Miss Scarlett...the grogginess is not temporary.
I have had this problem for years. |

Pumpkin...thanks for the insight. Would you say that the benefits of the medication are worth tolerating the side effect? I'm also a little bit concerned about all the reports of people developing diabetes after taking it. |
