What do I mean when I mention how a company manages risk(I am angry at Astrazeneca).
They spent $539 Million to defend a product that is obviously risky. They set aside $250 Million to settle with the Federal Government for some medicaid fraud. Who controls the money at Astrazeneca???? I need an insulin pump because of the Seroquel induced hyperglycemeia(High Blood Sugar) and may need a new liver in the future due to Seroquel induced diabetic hepatitis. Who will pay for my personal injury? This does not include the more common complications of diabetes such as blindness, nerve damage and, but not limited to, amputation. If they(Astrazeneca) seems to have mismanaged the risk involved in a potential huge lawsuit against one one of their manufactured products, how could anyone trust those products. Diabetes beat there "We'll fight the lawsuit toe to toe" attitude. |
