Who should have a biopsy? Those that ingested seroquel and those that have diabetes, including fatigue and upper right quadrant abdominal pain.

I am not sure if there is a link from Seroquel inducing liver disease.

i have been on seroquel for 5 yrs i have gained alot of weight but no other health threats i am concerned that i will develop more serious heath complications

I know of no causal link between Seroquel and liver damage. Probably thought up by some slimy lawyer looking for a quick buck.

seroquel is a toxic drug. people die to it especially when withdrawing, typically it takes 4-6 weeks.

it is very well possible that seroquel causes liver damage (when withdrawn).

I think it is because of raised TNF-a levels due to withdrawal (TNF-a levels go up when 5-HT2A blockade is stopped).

liver damage => blood sugar problems, no platelets etc. you die

HERE is proof. I started seroquel in early 2000's, was diabetic by the 6th month. Never diabetic before and was overweight before also, but lost 100lbs and was thin before taking seroquel or any other head med. Found out bipolar started seroquel became diabetic, stopped seroquel and was DIET controlled. Then 2yrs ago doc convinced me to go on seroquel xr and sugars were 300+ since. Stopped seroquel 2wks ago and sugars are down to under 200 and no change in diet. That is all the proof my doctors needed. On seroquel I will die from my sugars, off it I have a chance of not ending up on dialysis. Also 2yrs on seroquel another 100lbs back :(

Before Seroquel I weighed 75kg, I was in a physical job, I walked 4km a day in my job and result of that bit of extra weight was daily muffin or raisin toast for morning break.
3 years of taking Seroquel I am now almost 100kg have been tested and told have pre diabetes and a fatty liver. I have not drunk alchohol for
20 years so that is not the reason.
My diet has not been very healthy the last year, but part of that is caused by cravings for carbs by Seroquel.
I hope the drug that has stabilised me has not also caused me these serious health problems but it looks like their could be a link there.
Up till now I have always had a strong constitution so what is the cause for these health problems?

I was just bumped up to 200mg of Seroquel per MD orders for anxiety and need of sleep. My abdomen has become very protuberant and my right upper quadrand hurts. I just googled this to see if there is a link between this medication and what I am now experiencing. Need more information before I make an "educated guess".
