Dont take ritilan in the first place it's highly addictive but if for some reason you do dont take more than 100mg a day other wise it will realy start to mess you up it might sound fun and all but it can be DEADLY it screw's with your heart there are 4 known symptoms that you can get that will cause cardiac arrest (heart attack) so just as a warning dont do ritilin even if you do have ADD/ADHD

I took 7 x 30mg Ritalin XR this morning, and it's been no fun at all. I'm wondering if I'll ever come down properly again. I am thinking pretty slowly, and whereas normally I'm uber quick with the mouse, for some reason my hand just does not want to move. Then, when I finally get it moving, it simply crawls to its target. Strangely, though, my keyboard skills are largely unimpaired. So I am sticking to the keyboard for navigation wherever possible.
It is very frustrating. It really should have worn out by now, I took them more than 12 hours ago. I am seeing some visual disturbances too. Heart rate about 120 or so, so that's not too bad. My advice - don't take more than your doc recommends! It's just plain nasty!

Oh yeah, forgot to add - My body seems to have forgotten how to cough. I am a smoker, and I'm used to coughing quite a bit. Now I know i have phlegm in my lungs, but I simply can't cough. It's very weird. I end up holding my breath while actually I'm trying to cough. I can just manage to cough weakly if I really try hard, but it's like I have to consciously drive each muscle needed for the coughing action, instead of it simply being an automatic reaction. I hope I haven't been brain damaged now! Really starting to get worried cos it hasn't even started to let up, even now, 12 hours later.

I'm 24 and have ADD and take 4 60mg Equasym a day (thats slow release methylphenidate) and drink coffee and evergy drinks all day. Sometimes i feel high and other times just agitated but it's never killed me!

You are an idiot you got that right. My husband died from a Ritalin Overdose, he injected it. Which cause Cardiac Arrhythmia. So don't sit there high telling others it wont kill you. Risk taking can kill! Grow up and be happy with the LIFE you have been given.

so I'm definitely not suicidal or whatever, but I found out 3 days ago that my mother has terminal cancer. So since I've been laid off for awhile I have had the opportunity to drink my ass off for the past 3 days. Well anyway I woke up early this morning puking blood and feeling like god awful shit. My g/f has add and has an rx for ritalin. I knew the stuff jacks you up if you don't have add. So after she went to work I took one 20mg tab.and washed it down with a shot of vodka. That was @ 7am and since then I've killed a pint of vodka and worked on a handle of jack. I've taken 10 20mg ritalin since then and its 2:00 now. Not only am I shitfaced but I am geeked beyond belief. I'm a little concerned cause my heart is racing and even the best coke I did in college never fucked me up like this. Am I going to have a heart attack?

1. What are some long term effects of taking this drug?
2. what are the punishments if caught taking it as a drug?
3. Can you die from taking this as a drug, and if so, how much must you take?
4. Would anyone need help or treatments for this drug after?

ive taken literally no joke,1200 mg of ritalin in 21 hours,it started at 11 AM one day with popping 4 20 mg pills,and then eventually the next day i took 25 20mgs at once and 45 minutes later i took another 20 of the 20 mg's so 900 mg in about an hour
