concerta vs ritalin LA

Well, I was recently diagnosed with ADD and now I'm in the proccess of evaluating dosages and types of release.

I came to a conclusion that I would benefit most from higher dosages. Also, the duration of the effect is very short at my case.

I am now taking 36 concerta in the morning, and 36 in the afternoon. This lasts me all day and no sleeping problems at night.

Yet it still seems mild to me. The best effect I get is from 40mg Ritalin LA, yet as I mentioned - it's very short acting and fades after about 6 hours or so (concerta lasts 8-9).

I was wondering if indeed the Ritalin LA makes use of more substance in an effective way (meaning that given the same dosages - concerta will use "less" of the active ingredient).

I think having 40+30 of ritalin LA might do me good, over the 36+36 of concerta I use currently.

Also, I think I might break it further, taking 30 in the morning, 20 at noon and 20 near the evening.

What are your thoughts?

Also - is there any comparison graphs of different researches for the duration and peak of both drugs?

just dont take any ritalin. its fukd and will just get u addicted.

trust me i was put on for 7 yrs from when i was 15.

I was looking for the exact same data. I hope you find it. I want to compare the results so that I can select the proper medication for my child.

Ritalin did far worse things to my childhood than language fouls! Somehow now as an adult I find it saved my life from a previously unkickable coke abuse habit. However Im weary that, while less dangerous than coke by far, I might die anyway just much later. I'm Disappointed.
