When does your body get used to Ritalin

[Concerned]

I am a 24 year old female.
I started my trial run of Ritalin by taking 30mg once a day in the morning.
When i first take it i feel awkward and i cant really say irritable but maybe a little uncomfortable with myself.
I also dont feel like i can concentrate much, my mind feels very confused.
And i took it at 8 in the morning and its already wearing off, is this normal?
I just want to know if it takes time for your body to get used to the Ritalin, if so how long?

Ritalin only lasts 4 hours. Or rather - 3n1/2 or so, because it takes 20 or so mins to take affect. If you are looking for a med to last longer, try time release capsules like concerta. Also when taking ritalin, it is important to pay attention to whether or not you are taking it with food. It's suggested to be taken half an hour before meals, but I take it with meals instead. I understand that uncomfortable feeling you have. I actually suggest you try a lower dose, and take perhaps three times throughout the day. Hope you found what you need.!
