retin-a does it work?

I bought retin a in Mexico. I don't see any peeling. the strength is 0.05% in a 40g tube.
On the back it states l00g contain 0.050g Tretinoin.

Is it the same as what is sold in the U.S.?

My sister got it from Yahoo auctions name-brand and it says tretinoin gel microsphere 0.04% Retin A MICRO 45g tube. I think she paid around $80 for it. She had a little redness, very mild peeling but is working great for anti-wrinkling too!

The US FDA requires prescription medications to be within a certain percentage of their active ingredient, in this case, tretinion (active ingredient in Retin-A, to ensure potency and equivalency across prescription dosages. I do not know of how Mexico regulates their "prescription" meds. The item you bought in Mexico may or may not be regulated- there's no guarantee.

Works great it depends too on the laboratory. You can buy a cheap cream but the laboratory can be trash.
