Not an additional side affect, but severe acid reflux 24/7 since I started seven months ago. Plus the requip quit working six weeks ago, so: shall I quit it or up dosage? Quit~ Quit!

Requip was a miracle for me! What relief!! I could sleep like a normal person. I didn't want to lay down and nap every day. I quit eating at night. I began sleeping with my husband again. My quality of life improved immensley!! I experienced mild nausea, but it was a small price to pay for having my life and energy back. BUT..........3 MONTHS LATER THE rls IS BEGINNING TO SHOW ITS UGLY HEAD AGAIN! I pray that increasing the dosage brings back my miracle results.I see the doctor tomorrow.

I've been taking Requip for about 6 weeks. It worked great in the beginning but now the restless legs seems worse than ever from about 8:00 to 10:00 PM. However, I have been sleeping better than I have in ten years so will continue taking for that reason. I don't have any nausea but have been having trouble with reflux the last few days.

I have been taking requip for 6 months, 1 MG. nightly. Now my RLS is worse and I have muscle soreness in my rib cage and calves. Has anyone else had muscle soreness? And what about weight gain? Has anyone else experienced weight gain? I am wanting to try Mirapex, but can I just switch, or do I have to start with the lower dose in the Mirapex starter pack? Also, can I take half Mirapex and half Requip until I adjust to the Mirapex? Please respond....

During the 7 days since starting Requip, I have had significant soreness in my rib cage and hips. Just noticing increased appetite. Also headaches all day, unresponsive to medications. I can't attribute these problems to any other changes.

Now that I think of it, I too have suffered with the heartburn since being on requip but didn't think much of it. Also the problem with it not working, I have been pondering the same question as you. Sorry I can't help but lets hope we find the right answers soon.

I have been on requip for a year and a half. It keeps the legs still and I can now sleep but the nightly nausea is difficult. Every night 30 to 45 min after taking the requip terrible nausea so I take a pepcid with the requip, helps to a degree. Weight gain is my concern don't know what else to attribute it to I have never had a weight issue until the last year putting on about 15 lbs. Any ideas?

Requip is a miracle, finally sleeping like a normal person. Although, I am worried my rls will come back after reading some others. Haven't noticed any weight gain. Maybe getting regular physical activity would help with the weight gain.

I have been on Requip for 3 years and have gained 40 pounds. The nausea I had at the beginning eventually went away, but the symptoms have returned, even with an increase in dosage. I am seeing my neurologist tomorrow and am getting off of it.

I have been on Requip since Jan 09, I suffer from severe acid reflux due to the meds... I take Zantac and OTC Taggament for it and it kinda helps... I was on Mirapex for a short time, however that did NOT stop the RLS... Requip is wonderful, but fear my body will get used to it and it stop working... I too have gained weight, but not because I am eating more OR because I am not active... it just happened...

Also, Lydia, you don't have to start over when switching to Mirapex, nor if you decide to go back... like I did...

I took Requip for months and for a while the RLS was gone, but only for a lovely while. The acid reflux, nausea were horrid. At the end of 7 months I told the doctor I had to quit it because it wasn't working and made me sick. She asked what mg of Requip I was taking and I took the bottle out of my purse and handed it to her. She almost screamed! She said "omigawd I wrote you a prescription for .5 mg and your pharmacist gave you 5 mg! I have NEVER written anyone a prescription for 5 mg! That is 20 times over what I prescribed!" I have had horrid leg stinging problems ever since and I wonder if it is from the Requip.

My neurologist prescribed Ropinirole for restless leg syndrome diagnosed after a sleep study. Soon after beginning my rx I began to have muscle spasms in my private area. They were occurring several times day and night. My neurologist took me off Ropinirole about 2 weeks ago. The muscle spasms are still happening though not as frequently. I was told to call him when they stop so he can prescribe another rx. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

You're capable of making some very constructive and important decisions today, particularly where your relations with certain people are concerned. If you're fed up with the way someone has been treating you, you might now decide that the worm is about to turn and you're going to be much firmer about what you're prepared to put up with and what you won't tolerate.
