My son recently started using pulmicort. When i got the prescription filled it said quantity 60, even though we only recieved 30. when i called the pharmacy they said that each respule is considered 2 doses even though each respule is really one dose. Can anyone explain to me why this is. He is also on zyrtec and the quantity on that says 75 but it is only a one month supply. I just don't understand.

They are billing it correctly. Each vial contains 2ml. the pharmacy has to bill per mls not per vials. a quantity of 60 = 30 x 2ml

David you are wrong. The pharmacy is billing correctly for a qty of 60 milliliters (mL) not 60 vials. Please don't tell others that pharmacies are ripping them off unless you have your facts correct. |
