proVigil puts me in a horrible mood!

I have noticed this to be the case with my wife, who takes 200mg of Provigil a day and has Narcolepsy. Over the past four years, she has stopped the medication twice (while breastfeeding) and even though she was dealing with an infant, and then a toddler and an infant, she wouldn't get as frustrated / uptight as she seems to when taking Provigil. I would be interested in knowing if anyone else has noticed similar results.

I have been taking 200-400mg. of Provigil per day for the last 6 month and I've noticed the opposite. If I'm not taking the drug one day I tend to be tired and grumpy. When I'm on it I have endless amounts of patience and focus.

I will bite your head off in a second when I take the drug. I find the drug to be totally useless you want to be a-hole and grind your teeth all day.

I don't get even the slightest amount of alertness. This pill is a sham and a fraud.

Same here extreme anxiety, mood swings galore, crying spells, lack of patience, insomnia, uncontrollable muscle spasm, twitching and jerking and I feel horrible after 4 months on this drug all of this snuck up on me but others have noticed a departure from "Myself" before I did!
I immediately had headaches that snowballed into a 36 hr Migraine which I haven't had in years!
But......I have Firbomyalgia, Post Polio Syndrome, Chronic Fatique, degenerative disc and joint disease w/ OA. So my issues are mainly physical pain not brain problems and every time I've been prescribed any kind of drug that meeses with my brain checmistry or levels of serotonin, Norepinephrine and dopamine I have suffered terrible side effects just like those from Provigil. So it may be a great drug for predominately healthy individuals and not for those of us with too many other problems and illnesses.
So just my two cents for what it's worth!

I have noticed that I am moody with the meds. I catch myself being very snappy which is totally unlike me.

It does not really help me stay anymore awake. I have been diagnosed with Narcolepsy without Cataplexy. I get moody, emotional, cry, upset, mad, and so horribly sad on this med. Want to be a hermit. I snap at everything and everyone and just want to be left alone. I am not me with or without the meds. It makes my heart race, skip and pause, it makes me have anxiety too. Its just not worth the side effects for me. Then it keeps me awake at night, like that really helps when I already had EDS. Thanks for letting me vent, Good luck you all!
