Just started on prilosec. I'm curious about it.

I've been taking it also, one in the morning and at night, I had to go to the gastro doctor, he put me on some medicine

It is absolutley the BEST drug for curing heartburn, Hiatal hernia, etc.

However, it is also the WORST drug for weight gain. I was on it for 14 years and gained an absurd amount weight as have 95% of the people who take it.

I've gained about 50 pounds in the past 5 years since I started taking Prilosec..
I am now taking Essential Enzymes. I no longer have GERD and I've lost 30 pounds in 3 months.
Plus it's much, much, much cheaper.

I have gained 60 lbs in 5 1/1 years on prilosec and am miserable. What are Essential Enzymes and where do you get them? Plus what did you do to lose the 30? Thanks for any advice...Alicia

I take Prilosec (usually order from http://totaldrugs24.com/item/prilosec.html ) This tablet really helps me in treatment.
