Generic Prevacid

I am in Indiana. I was told it is not available in the US yet? Is this true? My girlfriend just got it for her mother after getting a PA through her insurance company. How can I do this?

Generic prevacid is not yet available in the US yet but a company has tentative approval for a generic

I was told by a employee of Walgreens on 11-13-09 that they had received the generic prevacid,had it in stock,but could not sell it because the insurance companies have not approved pricing yet.I bought some of the Prevacid OTC to try.
I live in a small town in Indiana- Honest folks.
Maybe there is hope for us users.My drug insurance will no longer pay for Prevacid, I was informed of this a couple weeks ago.Have been following Teva Pharm. since they announced about a year ago they had FDA approval for their generic. I believe this is what Walgreens have in stock.

Medco Mail Oder just informed me a generic prevacid was approved by the FDA
Nov 19, 2009 for use in the USA. My insurance will not carry Previcad after Jan 2010. It will carry the generic .

I just got a prescription filled for the generic prevacid and insurance paid for it!! My copay was only $4 so much better then the normal $47!!!!!!!!
I am in a small Indiana town and got it at CVS!!
